Al Gore’s Carbon Footprint Doesn’t Matter
New Republic ^ | August 7, 2017 | Emily Atkin

Al Gore is back in the spotlight with his new documentary, An Inconvenient Sequel, making him a top target again of the right-wing counter-intel complex. On Thursday, the conservative National Center for Public Policy Research released a report, “Al Gore’s Inconvenient Reality,” that paints the former vice president as a hypocritical climate advocate. In near-creepy detail, NCPPR author Drew Johnson maps Gore’s home in Nashville, Tennessee, down to the number of windows, and concludes that “Gore’s own home electricity use has hypocritically increased to more than 21 times the national average this past year with no sign of slowing down.”

I use about $150 of electricity and probably have 4000 trees. I have a negative carbon footprint, as do most all of my family.

Just looked up the scribbler of this tripe. Looks to be about 25 years old with all the genius of your average millennial. (No offense to you smart ones.)

Slippery little bugger, this writer. The nub of his argument is that Algore is not asking individuals to limit their carbon emissions, just governments, businesses etc.

OK

So when a coal miner is laid off, that's a good thing right? His employer is now way more emissions friendly, and I guess he will be too?./s

If a manufacturing plant closes laying off dozens of people, that's a good thing too, right?/s

Algore and his acolyte here are schmucks. They really do mean one law for them (fancy lifestyles) and one for everyone else (apple selling on the sidewalk).

"But ultimately the argument is deceitful faux-populism, and the real hypocrites here are the purveyors of it."

If some anti-gay marriage Republican is found playing footsie in a men's room, the left will scream at the hypocrisy of it, and justifiably so. This is no different.

“That’s the only way to explain that much consumption.”

Wrong! Manbearpig has a lock on the carbon credit market so he exempts himself from criticism of excessive SeeUhO2 spewage. Well, maybe not so much. Then again, with his bank accout.......he don’t care what we think.

That much power consumption in the house (separate from the pool)? I think it has to be a marijuana garden in the basement or garage. That’s the only way to explain that much consumption. If he had ten AC units and ran them throughout the whole year....I don’t think it’d add up to that much consumption.

There's probably a whole colony of space aliens living under that house, and they send ManBearPig out periodically to do their bidding. Kind of like the bionic "Bigfoot" episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man.

“Al Gore’s Carbon Footprint Doesn’t Matter”

This is one of the most disingenuous articles I have read this year. The author attempts to defend the indefensible, the massive and unnecessary energy used by Al Gore and the “learjet liberals” as they browbeat the rest of us to use less. To do this she must construct a straw man, claiming that conservatives are upset at Gore for not being carbon neutral. This is nonsense since the climate alarmists neither claim to be carbon neutral or demand we be (yet). They hector us to use LESS energy, to cut back wherever possible. Does anyone believe that these leftists with MASSIVE energy signatures couldn’t cut back a great deal and still live comfortable lives? THAT is the rank hypocrisy that conservatives complain about.

“Global Warming - Climate Change” world biggest hoax and scam.
Just like Obama causing Global Flooding by pissing in the ocean.
That much can humans contribute.
Elaborate scam to screw off taxpayers off their money!

Earth climate and changes are dependent on Sun’s and Sunspots activity supplying 99.99% of energy. Humans can do schit about it.
Volcano eruptions can produce much more distractions to climate than all humans and SUVs farting together.
CO2 is not poison, it is “food” for plants, which in turn produce Oxygen, that we need to breathe.
STOP the scam, jail all the scammers!!!
God bless and protect Mr. Trump!
MAGA!!!!

Because communism is against human nature, it doesn’t work without a cadre of Politburo elites forcing the people.

I love how the stupid little wienie confronts the truth. He calls it “creepy”. Like when the snowflake tries to get a date with a real girl. That’s when the snowflake then thinks he’s a girl, or they obsess about those doing the nasty with underage Japanese cartoon girls. When he can’t get a date with a living girl.

The author is a craven apologist for the energy swine Gore.
Clean sources of energy? How clean is the manufacture of solar cells? Carbon credits baloney? Plant your own damn trees.

Gore is going to use any hooey to justify living as large as he wants and the climate propaganda machine will excuse him.
