Friends As a mom, I'm grateful that I've always had access to good health care for my family and I never want anyone to have to worry about not being able to afford a needed doctor's visit or prescription. Health care should be a right, not a privilege. But right now, our health care system leaves so many families one medical emergency away from bankruptcy and Republicans seem desperate to make it worse by leaving even more people uninsured. It's heart-wrenching to realize how many people are forced to go without care they need because they can't afford it.
That's why I'm advocating for Medicare for all: so that good, affordable health care is available to everyone who needs it, period. But right now, I need to hear where you stand:
KG is conducting a survey. This article provided the necessary statistics to respond in a meaningful way. The British health system failed the parents of Charlie Gard, refusing them parental rights to bring their son to the US for treatment.
Mmmmmm......she musta felt s-o-o-o-o-o-o good about herself ..... putting out that BS.
Ha! My wife's niece (5'3" 300 lbs.) and her husband (6'0" 400 lbs.) go to the emergency room about 35 times a year and they pay...nothing. But of course they work hard...NOT. They don't work.
Don't fool yourself, the Republicans are right behind them.
Of course KG doesn’t mention the items that Medicare doesn’t cover, thus making “medi-gap” insurance a necessity. Also, look at the Canadians who come to the US to get surgeries, MRIs, CAT Scans, and other procedures because their socialized medicine system does not spend money on latest or even 20 year old technology. Also, in Great Britain, over the age of 70, their socialized medicine makes decisions on a cost-benefit scale of ‘is it worth doing a hip replacement or just give the person (as president bh0 once said) heavy duty motrin.
Also, remember the the Veterans Affairs run hospitals and clinics are “socialized medicine” and everyone knows all of the horror stories about back logs of treating vets and many dying before they ever see a government doctor.
