Virginia Law Enforcement Reveal Identity of Suspect in Deadly Charlottesville Car Crash

Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail Superintendent Martin Kumer identified the suspect behind the deadly Charlottesville Car Crash to the Washington Post.

The suspect is 20-year-old James Alex Fields of Ohio.

Thanks for the info, I had to work in an office yesterday and couldn’t take time to surf news sites/youtube and only access FR by phone while at work.

It seems that there were efforts to keep details under wraps (I still don’t know which side of which argument got hit, or what the 3 car accident had to do with things, any info about the other drivers, etc.). A/the suspect was under arrest by 4pm EST according to some articles I was seeing (time stamped).

It keeps down misinformation but it also keeps down information period. Again it looks like a situation of stand down orders where no one is there to keep the peace. And the violent attacks by the DNC brownshirts (on journalists and others) are considered “provoked responses” to things like videoing the landscape for journalistic purposes.

They"ve been hoping for a "Kent State Moment". They got the wreaths, flowers, teddy bears, heart shaped balloons and candles ready for the makeshift memorial. They already have the candlelight vigil planned and the grief counselors on standby. Then the victim's family and their lawyers will be doing photo-ops, holding blown up pics of the victim in a cap and gown and nicely dressed (a tactic that goes back to the Bernie Goetz fiasco). Then the hack politicians will get in on the act doing their face time in the fake media spewing meaningless rhetoric demanding more hate crimes legislation. And of course the talking heads on CNN, MSNBC even Fox , etc lamenting how Pres Trump brought a "coarseness" and divisiveness to social and political discourse, as if there's ever been a genuine modicum of decorum in politics to begin with. The distance over which the driver accelerated was actually closer to 170 feet.



In this video you can see that when the driver punched it, the rear end of the Challenger was inline with the third stanchion from the south next to the bicycle parking space. I have placed the northern distance marker there.

In the first link you will also notice that the driver stomps the brakes, hit the gas and squeals the tires, then stomps the brakes again before finally speeding toward the crowd. This is where the picture of his vehicle with the brake lights illuminated comes from. After that, the driver had almost 170 feet of room to accelerate, and the brake lights were never illuminated again before impact.

In my carefully crafted opinion, he should have been traveling well over the speed threshold for the triggering of the airbags to deploy. For some reason they did not.

Charlottesville is a college town, UVA, lots of people from out of State are there in college. He’s ex military so he’s a little older than the typical but not unusual.
