And Trotsky would have been worse than they? Never thought of it that way before. His ideological descendants are usually thought of as orphans from the world communist movement.
I wonder what Putin thinks of Trotsky.

The only real difference in the outcomes between National Socialism and International Socialism is which groups they targeted. Communists tend to target their own people and Nazism tend to target the other.

Stalin had them exiled and since most Communist support flowed from Stalin they ended up being nobodies.
Modern Communists coming from US universities tend to view Stalin as the bad guy and Trotsky the true version of communism, which makes them more dangerous than older style Stalin Communists. They’re far more likely to get us such in a cultural revolution or killing fields type situation.
The way things stand now the 2020 Dem primary campaign is shaping up to be the world’s longest short bus :)
Thanks for the update. I like history and prefer to be accurate. I will call it an “ice axe” from now on, although “ice pick” is so associated with the event that people might not get the reference.

Ha. IIRC that ice axe traveled all the way from NYC and passed through the hands of someone close to David Horowitz. I recall him telling a story about it.
