You’re the best!

There are plenty of extraordinary photos out there as it is, if someone faked something like this it is cruel.

They’re up to their chests in water. Stuff floating around.

Twitter is a cesspool.

You’re seeing right...We think it’s a hoax.....if the water were truly that deep the first electric wall socket would short out the electricity....

As of 10am CDT, Dayton, Texas (20 miles northeast of Houston) has the rainfall jackpot (so far) of 27.45 inches.

I can't even imagine getting that much rain all at once. I consider myself living in a wet climate and we average 45 inches of rain in a year!

Good point about used cars. Actually many of the water damaged cars will be shipped into the Northeast and sold to unsuspecting buyers. This has happened from time to time after major hurricanes down south.

Here is a good website to bookmark for next time you need to buy a used car and you want to research the history of it.

I lived in tornado alley for 13 yrs but on a high plateau. Always went to the basement. Spent a whole night with a bucket during an ice storm knocking out power to keep water from reaching our water heater and heater (electric) that were 12 inches up. Some lost power for 2 weeks. I sent my kid to his cousin’s who had heat. The Lord is good to me.

There isn’t an Interstate 60 anywhere in the US...perhaps you mean Interstate 610?

Really? Has to be photo-shopped. There's no way those people would be sitting there so calmly, with water up to their chests.

I call bs.

Yes, the X is still over FL, and we are under a flash flood warning. Last night--tornado. However, the radar presentation of the storm was absolutely insane. Never seen before--bright red-purple radar converged on our location from FOUR directions at once. It was the worst t-storm/hellstorm I've experienced in almost 20 years here in FL.

I wouldn't have said anything with what is happening in TX, except that you asked.

I asked the poster to consider having that photo removed..so we’ll see....unless something as dire as that has a location it’s more than disturbing for folks to even consider possible.

For those who can’t evacuate - or don’t get out in time - maybe a small attic ‘door’ that will allow a family to get on the roof if water gets too high... could be a lifesaver.

Also, people die in cars because electric windows don’t work when the engine cuts out.

One way out is to kick out the windshield... a better solution would be for manufacturers to put one manual roll window on the drivers side. (in emergency use ‘crank’)... In an EMP attack millions of people could be stuck in cars..

Thanks for sharing... Looks like it could be a bad hurricane season. Florida could be next but for now - as you say - our thoughts and prayers must be with our friends in Texas.
