Sounds like this guy is an illegal AND that he doesn’t want to go back to jail. The former + a DUI means he should have been punished, and the latter means someone ran an effective program.
Someone in the comments section of the comPost posted this LINK to the court minutes of Senor Chavez:
http://www.courtminutes.maricopa.gov/docs/Criminal/112014/m6586080.pdf
Reading that document shows a conviction for AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, not for being "drunk" behind the wheel, as Chavez indicates in the column...
Am I misreading?
I suspect 90% of this this story is pure fiction, the usual content of the Fake News WaPo.
Here’s the full URL for his case:
http://www.courtminutes.maricopa.gov/docs/Criminal/112014/m6586080.pdf
Aggravated assault isn’t DUI, I don’t believe. This guy appears to be a liar.
No, you aren’t misreading.
What a total BS article, the guy was on work release and only had to report to jail at night!
The Truth...
And nothing But.
He is. A misdemeanor DUI is 48hrs.
One year is a felony.
This jackass is lying through his teeth.
He plea bargained to a felony conviction.
Just another day for your typical liberal lying scumbag.
Hey Francisco, what gives you the right to come to snear inro this country and lie and steal? Try the front door, thief.
Tent jail? How about a Supermax prison, where certain kinds of crimes or not knowing your place among the inmates could kill you, if the wrong inmates got you figured out anyways.
“That same year, I got into a bad relationship and I drove while drunk. “
OH ! For a minute there I thought this person was responsible for their actions. But clearly a “bad relationship” is only solved through being drunk at the wheel.
-—I got into a bad relationship and I drove while drunk-—
Later, I became a presstitute and spend my life bitchin and moanin
This bastard is the poster child for deportation....are we suppose to feel sorry for him. GOOD RIDANCE!!!!
When Mr. Trump came down that escalator on 06/16/15 and made his case about illegal immigration, He was promised the office by the voters.
The WaPo article speaks directly to the issue and the prevalent mindset of the left - The person got here, so give them the privileges of a citizen.
I don't sneak into a workplace, do a few things on my own and expect a paycheck at the end of the week.
I don't go to the bank and use an account number and identity I swiped on line to make a withdrawal.
I don't offer to work off of the books for cash to avoid paying all of the taxes others pay.
The good sheriff was doing the right thing - enforcing the law of the land. Looking for illegals is not a racist policy, especially when your county is close to a border difficult to enforce that we share with a latino nation.
What a pussy. Gets work release and sleeps in a tent and he thinks that is horrible treatment? Try joining the Army!
He says he “moved” to the US when he was 14. Now when you say “moved,” do you mean in the middle of the night in the back of a truck guided by a coyote?
Break the law — get punished. It’s what’s known as “justice.”. And it”s supposed to hurt. Otherwise it would be known as “fun.”
I was born in Mexico, grew up in Tijuana, and slithered across the border to enter Arizona illegally when I was 14.
I stole from US taxpayers in every possible way, as when I went to high school in a small town called Holbrook as an illegal alien.
Then I went to Phoenix to go to Arizona State University also illegally and on the backs of hardworking US taxpayers..
By that time, roughly 2012, Joe Arpaios anti-criminal law enforcement had already raised fake racial tensions
among the criminal illegal aliens in Maricopa County, where he was sheriff.
Winner.
He looks smart since he has glasses.
Seriously, however, the Sherrif was not convicted of cruelly treating prisoners. The whole article premise is wrong and is fake news.
