Just took in our first evacuee from JAX. 69yo and had enough canes.
Glad you don’t have to go far for safe harbor.
LMAO!
Better a brand new roof under warranty, then an old roof that needs to be replaced...
Thanks praying for a fish storm..
They don’t call it ‘low country’ for nothing :)
I love Beaufort too!
The Upstate can experience tropical storm conditions of wind and rain, obviously not storm surge. Flash flooding is always a concern though. Bluffton at least has Hilton Head as a shield. If you leave, leave early as I95 and I26 are a madhouse in a storm.
Prayers for everyone.
Not only wishing you well, but praying this thing will turn out to sea!
We love our Freepers....plus we have family and neighbors there...
....I just called our neighbors.....one is almost 99
That’s really good. Visions of you in mangrove swamps, while better than a dock, were a bit unsettling.
When you rig for a storm at anchorage do you toss out fore and aft anchors and tie off to the trees?
WOW! Many thanks for your comprehensive PR update. Godspeed to you and your family through the storm.
Thanks for the island webcam links. Gosh, I want to go back to St. Thomas and the Mahogany Run golf course. One of the most beautiful locations on earth.
Don’t they make plastic bins without handles? How dumb of them to put holes in something that’s supposed to protect stuff. Gotta wonder....
LOL!

What would a cruise typically do based on currently projected forecasts? . . . return a day earlier??? I’ve don’t know anything about cruises, but I am concerned since after disembarking, they need to fly out of Miami International airport. Thoughts/comments? Thank you so much!
Looks like it’s going to hit Florida on the southern end from what I can tell.
Thanks for these threads.
