I haven’t fallen out of love with football.

I love football.

But I hate the NFL and its rich, ignorant, arrogant employees.

Can and will live without the NFL.

Can’t afford taking the kids to a game.

Could it be that the NFL is run by a group of leftists that go out of their way to insult 80% of their audience/customer base?

Honestly, I cannot wait for Bob Costas views on the Bill of Rights. The NFL really needs to pound that home.

Everyone remember Alex Karras & Paul Horning were suspended for a year for something 75 cent bets on games.

Now look at the NFL.

“I’m not falling out of love with football.”

Me neither. I love football. College football and the NFL. I can’t wait to hear Mitch Holthus yell “Touchdown, Kansas City!” on Thursday night. I got together with twenty some friends to watch my Huskers stink it up last Saturday night and will be doing the same next Saturday. My obsession with football only gets worse the older I get. I am like a giddy little kid waiting for Christmas in August. Overdosing on sports talk radio, TV preview shows and message boards. It is all the males that I work with talk about. I just can’t get enough. I will be hunkering down in the cave to watch the game on ESPN tonight even though I don’t care about either team because I love to watch the game.

These digs are the left trying to denigrate something that they hate. It is to further their pussification of America. Soften up the population so people will accept and ask for the big government teat that will lead to slavery. Screw the football haters. This is our thing. Stay out of it.

I would watch the Patriots any day, they're a modern day model of excellence.

There have been other great coaches and other great players, but none as good as these two. They are the epitome of the best, as good or better than any other sports dynasty.

Their support of Trump makes me admire them even more.

Thanks, I will attempt to watch Bill Belichick and Tom Brady - as they are the only ones in the NFL that support Trump - but will otherwise shun NFL football.

I watched “The Ice Bowl” live as a third grader, and have been an average to above average intensity NFL fan ever since. Well, until last year. The Kaepernick nonsense arrived shortly after the information about CTE became impossible to ignore. Then add in the ESPN circus, and I think I watched 3 complete games on television last season. I attended the GB-ATL game in Atlanta in October, the first time I had seen GB in person in 40 years.

This is a critical mass of disincentives. The league can encourage the development of safer helmets, and rule changes to reduce the impacts. But at some point you take away the essence of the game. The injection of absurd politics into the game by players like Kaepernick cannot be controlled or eliminated. The efforts by ESPN and perhaps the league to market to female fans will ultimately destroy the appeal to the old core of fans like myself (?) So, long story short - Jerry Jones - sell, sell, sell!

The problem began Monday, September 21, 1970. New York Jets 21 - Cleveland Browns 31. Before that, you could only watch on Sunday. Anything with restricted supply is a lot more valuable. It’s been downhill since then. And the downhill crap has only accelerated the past few years.

Prediction: Add the fact that ALL league instant replay reviews this season are going to be done in New York!

I liked the Monday night crew with Howard “look at that monkey run” Cosell , Dandy Don, and Frank Gifford.
