How many brains of deceased pro baseball players show similar signs?

He’s not deceased yet, but Jose Canseco may have that problem. I still laugh at the ball that bounced off his head for a home-run.

I would agree. I said this also recently that the product has become over-saturated. The NFL and the Owners have milked this for all it's worth and I really believe that we have seen Peak NFL football and maybe College as well.

My vote goes to the 90+ minutes of commercials, extending game times to upwards of 3 1/2 hours.

Return the rules back to the 60s and 70s. Return to two way players, where the emphasis would be good physical condition rather than hgh steroid bodies.

George Will......demonstrating he knows less about football fans than he knows about baseball fans.

I love my Huskers.
I don’t love them as much as I used to. See, I met a good many on the team. Some were great people, some had no business in college.
Same when I went to Iowa State.
Still love football, but would rather the NFL had a farm league instead of college ball.

And Soccer players.
Heading a soccer ball is not good. Brain damage is cumulative.

ESPN is horrible. Only slightly worse than Chris Collinsworth. Phil Simms is also brutal.

I followed football all my life, then really and truly got bored with big guys slamming into one another. BORED.
So now I watch golf. Nice clean fellows, highly skilled, pitting their considerable talents against one another while neatly dressed and polite. It’s really a breathtaking sport once you get into it..

Me neither. I love football. College football and the NFL. I cant wait to hear Mitch Holthus yell Touchdown, Kansas City! on Thursday night. I got together with twenty some friends to watch my Huskers stink it up last Saturday night and will be doing the same next Saturday. My obsession with football only gets worse the older I get. I am like a giddy little kid waiting for Christmas in August. Overdosing on sports talk radio, TV preview shows and message boards. It is all the males that I work with talk about. I just cant get enough. I will be hunkering down in the cave to watch the game on ESPN tonight even though I dont care about either team because I love to watch the game. God Bless you, Sir, and GBR!

Honestly, I cannot wait for Bob Costas views on the Bill of Rights. The NFL really needs to pound that home. His insights on the Second Amendment are now required reading for SCOTUS I hear. /sarc

Yeah, Collinsworth is a dork - I do like Al Michaels, don’t know why but I do like the way he does his commentaries.

There are times when we as a family watch football but with the sound off - we can see what’s happening and know all the referee’s hand signals regarding penalties and such. And we chat with each other.

I’ve liked Al Michaels ever since “......Do you believe in Miracles?” He’s got good focus and insight. More Al, less Collinsworth.

Because every other sport we enjoy has serious death risks and serious injury risk yet we have not fallen out of love with them.
Geez wake up.

Yeah, and when they’re asking their inane questions there’s a game going on in the background and we watch it on replay.
