This is getting very bad for Brevard & Seminole. More discrete supercells flying in for N-Brevard & Seminole. That LINE is bad, and, CORE. pic.twitter.com/kQb5TaTJI5— crankyweatherguy (@crankywxguy) September 11, 2017
East is getting a lot of storm winds, tornados, rain and some wind damage. The surge, 100 mph winds etc are all in the west. The center of the storm is what we are concentrating on but the storm is bigger than the whole state.
Predatory pine cones, using a disaster to reproduce, it’s all about them, isn’t it?
You have radar, you see the feeder band moving in, yes?
True.
While some areas are not getting hit as bad as expected, I don’t doubt some areas willl get hit worse.
Jacksonville is getting a ton of rain.
I need another breather, kids, be back in an hour or so. This is really bad here.
Meandering core must be destroying that down there too. pic.twitter.com/R0jrnodzcU— crankyweatherguy (@crankywxguy) September 11, 2017
St lucie county got slammed bigly!
I’m in North Cape Coral, seems to be over. Wind howled for 6 hours and I see palm trees down on the main road yet still have power and internet. Feeling mighty blessed right about now!
Per TWC 58 tornado warnings in Florida. Hurricane record for the Sunshine State.
Considering the prayer involved......
I throw my lot in with God.
One thing for sure.
Much as this storm has been unusual and powerful, it will likely be the most studied storm on record.
I could see it changing future hurricane forecasting.
Some of my family evacuated from Tampa Bay to Vero. We are still on edge about their place on the bay.
Amen, as do I.
Agree also with the rest of your post as well.
Rick Leventhal is STILL out in the rain?
And warnings are sightings or radar images.
And it’s not over yet by a long shot.
Glad to hear it’s passed over.
Thanks for the report Teflonic!
No it’s not. Prayers.
Was on Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Irma Naples, and the same but for Orlando. Off now
Oh man I didnt mean to say you were panicked. Not all all. Had to get off the zello and take a break is all. Hard not be able to help.

Also in Cape Coral, just off Country Club not far from the municipal complex.
My experience so far seems to be much like Wilma in 2005 — howling wind and rain, annoying as hell, but never lost my electricity. Lanai got wet but it gets wet during any big thunderstorm, so that’s no big deal. We will have to see if there’s any damage tomorrow, but the lanai is intact and that was my biggest worry.
Feeling mighty relieved and mighty blessed right now.
