“... anyone care to weigh in?”

I took care of multiple family members during their cancer times. All of them had periods of time where they felt “energized” and “in good spirits”. Most of them even had periods of times where they were actually giddy and had a sense of humor. All of the eventually died from their disease. Thus, IMHO this is “normal”.

‘I’m fine. The prognosis is pretty good,’

I’ve heard cancer patients state that before. It doesn’t change the outcome.

I took my mother to radiation every single day for her brain tumor. I watched the energy drain out of her. The very last day of her radiation on the way home I could see she was fading. When we got to her house and she got out of the car she collapsed and lost control of her bowels. I was lucky there was a work man there and he caught her before she hit the ground.
McCain is a lieing pos.

He was at the Nationals game yesterday. He looked like a healthy 60 year old man.

>>The lawmaker said he was feeling 'no side effects' from
>>his cancer treatment other than increased energy levels.

Yeah, funny how that works in the context of a steady diet of Milk, Apples, and an exemption from Obamacare.

And remember: NO SLEEPING IN BEDS err {edit} WIF SHEETS!

My best friend from my Air Force days passed away from glioblastoma two years ago. He lived five years with the disease, but he was the exception, not the rule. Had a fantastic team of doctors at Vanderbilt; additionally, my friend was supremely fit and a man of tremendous faith.

While I find McCain’s politics, treatment of fellow Republicans and sabotage of the GOP agenda to be repulsive, I do wish him well in his fight against glioblastoma. It is a truly terrible illness, and the prognosis is usually quite grim—even with aggressive treatment, life expectancy is normally no more than a year to 15 months.

The real ray of hope in current research is use of a modified version of the polio virus to go after glioblastoma. Results of medical trials at Duke have been extremely encouraging; have no idea if McCain is receiving that treatment.
