Best hunting and fishing plus my first daughter was born at the base hospital. Had it not been for my reassignment to Fairchild AFB in Spokane, Minot would have been my favorite place. But it didn’t take much to beat out Whiteman AFB, Mo.

People say that Minot is the end of the world.

Not true.

But, you can see the end of the world from there.

It was interesting to read about this AFB. The only thing I ever knew about it before was that we didn’t want to EVER be stationed there. LOL! Too cold for out southern blood.

I have never been to the Dakotas. After a winter at Great Lakes, I think I'll pass, thanks.

Been there a number of times. Mostly to haul their civil engineering unit all over the country.

It has indeed been a long time coming - and we could both stand a little relaxation.
