My first vote in a presidential election was for Ronald Reagan in 1980 in order to get Jimmy Carter removed from office.

Coming from the “president” who gave away the Panama Canal and let the mad mullah take over Iran, a decision which is still haunting us to this day.

When is Carter ever going to shut up?

Unfortunately, not till he assumes room temperature.

while also lambasting Trump's “hopeless” approach to solving the Israel-Palestine issue

Any bombs gone off in Tel-Aviv lately?

But... and it’s a big but. He is the only US president to broker a meaningful Middle-East peace agreement.

Actually, the Israelis and Palestinians put that deal together themselves. The US was brought in after all the major points had been worked out and allowed to take all the credit so we would pay for it.

“My first vote in a presidential election was for Ronald Reagan in 1980 in order to get Jimmy Carter removed from office.”

What an honor that must have been.

I was in 6th grade for that election. Reagan won our mock election in class, and I still remember the bus ride home that day.

I asked the very nice bus driver who she thought was going to win the election.

Her response: “Probably Reagan. Would be better for me if Carter won, but better for the country that Reagan does.”

At least she was honest.

So, Jimma... the “peace” requires us to remove all our troops and military hardware from S Korea.

How about them peanuts??

He said money in politics is what makes the US more like an oligarchy – run by a small group of rich people – rather than a democracy, ...

Trump didn’t take their money so this does not apply.

Will this anti-Semitic lying clown ever go away?

So the guy who is largely responsible for this, yet another mess, wants to tell us how the get out of it by making it worse.

It is interesting to note that the two worst rogue states right now are ones Carter was intimately involved in making exponentially worse.

The obvious question to ask Carter is whether he would allow NK to keep their nuclear weapons. My guess is that he would be OK with it.

Thank goodness that Carter, based upon his own domestic policy and foreign policy successes, is willing to advise President Trump.
