We have the capability which is limited by the number of interceptors we have. I worked on an advance sensor program. Our sensors are capable of detecting, tracking and most importantly, the information they gather is used to steer the interceptor so that our interceptors are able to destroy a limited number of intercontinental ballistic missile threats.
We don’t wast interceptors on non-threats.
If you're correct regarding our capabilities (which I'm willing to accept as accurate) then it seems to me that shooting down *one* would send the Norks a very strong message.That message would be even stronger if we were to let it slip that two of our boomers were parked 100 miles of their coast as we shot their missile down.
