Otherwise a typical weekend; 44 hours of friggin and fighting and 4 hours changing flat tires.
If for no other reason, The Feds need to be right there to arrest those convicted felons/domestic violence misdemeanor criminals who are caught with firearms.
"Gun control" in Chicago was ruled un-Constitutional via the Heller decision and was ceased almost five years ago now.

Not really. While it's been trending down (I think..) the last year or so we've had weekends in the not too distant past where a few dozen or more have been killed with more than 30-50 shot.
IMO, the only reason it's been trending down is more and more law abiding Chicagoan's are armed and capable of shooting back since the punitive and un-Constitutional handgun laws were rescinded. The gang bangers largely seem to be aiming at each other - and often only each other - again.
Long as they're killing each other and leaving the innocent kids out of it, not sure I care how often they shoot each other, as long as the murder rate keeps dropping...
What the northern cities will never admit, is that they created this problem. When slavery ended, it also ended employment for hundreds of thousands of slaves who fled the war torn south for refuge in northern cities. The North ended slavery, but were thoroughly racist towards the newcomers, leading to the creation of urban ghettos. The do-gooders then tried to salve their conscience by creating the welfare state, ensuring that those ghettoes became cesspools of multi-generational sloth and single mother families. These cities are all Democrat fortresses, who now own the mess they created. Not one dime of federal money should go to help them out of their own mess.
