George P. Bush, General Land Office commissioner, is continuing the work along with city of San Antonio leaders to reimagine the Alamo. It seems they want to diminish the courage and sacrifice of Texans (which included Hispanics) to fight against the government of Santa Anna in Mexico. Maybe they want to be inclusive. In the mean time they are re-writing history and what matters.

Nope. It’s offensive to certain people so it needs to be replaced by an El Pollo Loco.

Also, he hired a curator from Cincinnati to carry out the reimagining. How does a person from Ohio have any idea about Texas much less Bush who I assume grew up in Florida. The Daughters of the Republic of Texas were in charge before the Land Office took it away. Government and politics always screw things up.

Oh, no. Now the Bushes are going to destroy the Alamo. Can’t they go away? They’re like a sober Kennedy family.

They just want to rename it, The Lmao..................

I reimagine it as a great heroic Mexican victory over imperialistic Texans. Looks like they've already completed the conversion.

That a bizarre and insulting way to show honor to a site where brave soldiers died.

I always thought the Alamo was out of place, it was like it was on Broadway and 42nd street in NYC.

It is also highly likely that when it is over, George P. Bushs once-promising political career in the state will be finished. I met George P. two years ago when he was campaigning for his father. He was a very nice man, but I would never vote for him or any of his family.

The site would no longer be referred to as the Alamoinstead, it would be known as the San Antonio de Valero mission. It seems odd that liberals, who heartily spurn any reference to Christianity, would want to call it by that name. Anthony of Padua, the mission's namesake, was a Christian evangelist.

George P. Bush is half Mexican. His mother was still a Mexican national when he was born. He is not a natural born citizen.
