To: plain talk

“310 gigatons! Great Scott!!”

Which is less than one millionth of the weight of the oceans.

We’re all going to die!

Not to mention the 6 million tons of space dust that land on earth every year.

Was oceanic CO2 levels increase, CO2-loving organisms will proliferate, turning it into calcium carbonate (chalk), as they did during the Cretaceous Period. This is how we got the White Cliffs of Dover.

Big picture...you take all that carbon deposited in the eart’s crust over hundreds of millions of years and release it to the atmosphere in one hundred years. COULD something bad happen?

Yeah, this global warming stuff is BS. Carbon in the atmosphere is a tiny fraction of a single percent of the atmosphere. Even if you dump 310 gigaton of carbon it's still a tiny fraction. Net result: nada.

“simple mathematical formula”

So write it down for us “perfessor”. Big long article and not so much as an equals, a greater than, or even a simple plus sign. Hell, if you do it with multiplication you won’t even need a times symbol.

All smoke no mirrors.

Mass extinctions occurred hundreds of millions of years apart and suddenly these hysterical imbeciles will predict the next one within a hundred years?

Ummmm.
OK. I suppose it's pointless to try to explain to a normal person what a "moving average" is involving hundreds of millions of years if mathematicians act ignorant about it?
