Shades of the Louisiana Purchase...
Alaska Ping.
We were critical of the Dems doing this to pass obama care. It was bad then and it`s worse now because Repubs know better.
Why not? We all now what she is. The only question, as Churchill once said, is the price.
Why wouldn’t others on the fence demand the same?
When do we get to see the bill? 10 minutes before the vote? If linda is involved, I know it is a POS. Probably worse then obumbercare 1.0.
I’m sure she will hold out for generous funding for Planned Parenthood. The woman has . . . principles.
If we are going to play that game (and we may have to), I’d rather pay off a wobbly Dem like Manchin, with some special special “coal miners displaced by Obama environmental policies” benefit. If you pay off a bad Republican, you get more bad Republicans. I’d rather have more bad Democrats.
“Why not? We all now what she is. The only question, as Churchill once said, is the price”
A three penny upright.
Correction: Shades of the Louisiana Purchase Obamacare...
It’s basically allowing Alaska to keep Obamacare in exchange for repealing (sort of) Obamacare everywhere else.
What was wrong for Progressive Democrats is equally wrong for Republicans. Convince your colleagues with facts and truths and leave their political futures to their constituents.
The GOP swamp creatures let the deadline—September 30th—sneak up on them. Now they’re in a panic lather because they promised repeal, and Trump will call them dishonest failures if they can’t get it done.
Being Uniparty stooge senators hasn’t been as much fun since Trump got elected.
At this point, I don’t care with Murkowski. If she wants some readjustment of the formulas for Alaska, I can understand it, they have logistical issues with a huge state and a very small population.
The bottom line is that this is the best chance to roll back Obamacare. Total repeal will never happen with this Senate, you have to take what you can get. It’s called the art of the possible.
I still want to find out what they had on Roberts for him to make one of the top five worst Supreme Court rulings in American history.
+1
Seward's folly?
BINGO !!!
There will be no democrats voting for this. Why are they doing anything special for Hawaii?
