The epic collapse followed an epic winning streak. Even now, the team still has the best record in major league baseball. I don’t really follow baseball too much, but I’m not too worried. Starting pitching wins playoffs, and the Dodgers have starting pitching.

It all happened when they traded for Curtis Granderson from the Mets when they were the best team in baseball, potentially able to win more games than any other in one season.

Perfect example of how a front office can mess with young players minds.

They just gave up a 2-run double & are now down, AGAIN, to the Phillies 4-2 at the end of the 5th.

Turner got hit on the thumb & is out of the game.

As a 20 year Dodger fan, the Dodgers collapsing is as normal as Hillary Clinton being tossed into van like a side of beef. I expect it every time they have a good yea.

Epic Dodger collapse ...
The Giants win the pennant. The Giants win the pennant. The Giants win the pennant.

That's what I keep saying. What the hell did they need a .200 hitter for? They have plenty of lefties on the bench & Either came back from the DL & is hitting better than Granderson. Yet Granderson is starting every game.

Yes. It was ludicrous.

I knew it would cause something but this has snowballed.

The Dodgers didn’t understand if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Roberts is better than Mattingly, but c’mon now WHY CAN’T THERE BE AN ANIMATED DODGER MANAGER LIKE LASORTA WHO RAISES HELL ON THE FIELD ONCE IN A WHILE????? I’m tired of seeing these half-asleep team managers.

No sooner did I hit “post” than Granderson just went yard with a solo homer.

Sports Illustrated cover story. It was all downhill from there.

They are streaky this year and remind me of the '88 Dodgers. They won a World Series that year.

They will win it all this year.

I still dislike the name: LA Dodgers. Dodgers were Brooklynites living in the borough of Brooklyn, NYC and the team was named after them ‘dodging streetcars, dodgers’ hence the name. That team in LA should be called the LA Smogers, or the LA Whatevers but not the Dodgers. IMHO

Yes, during their winning streak, they had great chemistry. No-name guys were stepping up & no matter how far the Dodgers were behind, they knew they were going to pull it out. Nothing personally against Granderson, but why take out hot hitters & replace them with a .200 hitter & change the winning attitude.

Doesn’t matter, since the WS home field advantage goes to the ALCS winner, since the AL won the All-Star game.

Truth is the Dodgers DON’T want to play The Diamondbacks. They’d rather play the CUBS in the NLDS.

But, it works exactly fine when the Tigers make a trade of a “farm-bred” player (Granderson, Bergman, Gibson, HoJo to name but a few).

They go on to contribute to a WS winner while our Tigers toss about ashes in their sack-cloth clothes.

Nope, not this year.
