I NEVER respected a “butter bar” even the “Mustangs”. That respect is earned. Knowing that he is a POS Communist, everybody in my unit would be sure to make his enlistment pure Hell and make sure he has no control of anything if we could help it. The NCOs would definitely make sure of it.
Ranger standards are quite different than regular Army 11B standards. Someone in his chain in the 75th decided he couldn’t hack it after deployment and they put him out, he may have done fine back in a regular regiment. They don’t discharge folks for washing out of Airborne or Ranger school, they just go back their unit. Maybe he was mouthing off in garrison and they moved him along. If he was spouting this stuff though, he shouldn’t have gotten a USMA appt.

Most Harvard on the Hudson ring knockers that I encountered were decent officers. The biggest issue we had was making them understand that the regular Army doesn’t run like West Point. LOL
