I forget, why did the Soviet Technocrats have to build a wall to keep their bipedal property from leaving Utopia again?

>>So many affirmative-action hires that they have to get contractors to do the actual work.

That's the "conservative" { uhhh } "but progressive" business model that can be observed in many corporate-collective L.I.F.E.R. bodies these days...

Shouldn't be a big surprise that the executives perched atop the pyramid of thieves who "revolutionized" the Mortgage industry were heavily vested in the off-shore labor bidness.

Good way to get the laundry done ASAP!

“what kind of government contract could they possibly have? “

Just speculatin’, but, Big Data mining, terrorist tracking through metadata analysis, gathering evidence for drug activities or human trafficking. Anything involving foreign surveillance.

Probably in connection with outsourcing from the NSA.

They wouldn’t be that open about it if that were the case. In fact, I would say that public advertising for this would reduce the likelihood that they’re connected with US intelligence. Unless that’s just what they want people to think.

Read between the lines: Facebook now has a government contract, probably with the FBI or one of the intelligence agencies. I’ll bet if you did a little snooping around one of their location’s you’d find a SCIF (sensitive compartmentalized intelligence facility) under construction.

And to take the conspiracy theory a bit farther, the new Facebook hires could well be plants from a federal agency. On paper, it looks like they’ve resigned, but they’re still on the payroll, its just their check is now routed through Facebook.

It’s been standard intel operating procedure for decades. Use a real company or a cut-out to hide your activities and those of your employees. For the feds, it’s a chance to gain access to Facebook data, including some of the analytics that are (normally) proprietary info and help uncover additional information. On the other side, Facebook can access intel info (think economic data) that could help them gain an edge in the marketplace.

“900 million to a billion pages of information...”

How many people are needed to read a billion pages of information daily?

My understanding was that if the job advertised wanting a clearance, you could put it on your resume.

I did and did not get in trouble for it.

I have not held a clearance in 25 years.

#FAKENEWS. If Fakebook is hiring eligible employees, they have a contract to provide products or services to the US Government. One does not ‘have’ a clearance and one does not keep one any longer than is required to support a US Government contract.
