FBI Probe Of Paul Manafort Focuses On 13 “Suspicious” Wire Transfers(from 2012)
Buzzfeed ^

Posted on 10/29/2017 6:20:04 AM PDT by janetjanet998

he FBI's investigation of Donald Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, includes a keen focus on a series of suspicious wire transfers in which offshore companies linked to Manafort moved more than $3 million all over the globe between 2012 and 2013.

Much of the money came into the United States.

These transactions — which have not been previously reported — drew the attention of federal law enforcement officials as far back as 2012, when they began to examine wire transfers to determine if Manafort hid money from tax authorities or helped the Ukrainian regime close to Russian President Vladimir Putin launder some of the millions it plundered through corrupt dealings.

The new revelations come as special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is tightening, with reports that an indictment may already have been issued. It is not known if Manafort has been indicted, or if he ever will be. Manafort has been the subject of multiple law enforcement and congressional inquiries. A spokesperson for Manafort would not comment for this story about the investigation or any of the specific transactions, but Manafort has previously denied wrongdoing.

Haha that’s chump change compared to the clintons. But somehow the clintons will be exempt from the same standards of conduct

If he’s dirty then he needs to go to jail.

Problem is, we’ve got a “justice”’ system which turned a blind eye to 30 years of Democrat corruption.

And continues to do so.

So what does Manafort alleged actions in 2012 and 2013 have to do with the 2015, 2016 Trump campaign? If this is what Mueller has, DJT needs to pull the plug tomorrow.

Didn’t realize that the 2016 election campaign occurred in 2012/2013.

Did Manafort grab or grope anyone (no gender limitation) during the prior two decades?

Manafort has been a D.C. Swamp Creature for decades, and the information reported on him in recent weeks makes me wonder if he was actually working to undermine the Trump campaign when he was hired as the campaign manager. His ties to Hillary Clinton and her minions are much deeper than his ties to Donald Trump.

I always thought Manafort was a sleazebag Robert Evans wannabe. But, as you say, what does this have to do with Trump?

Mueller’s an even bigger sleazebag who belongs in jail.

It does seem outside the scope of the investigation. Is everyone Trump knows to be investigated for everything they ever did because they know him?

Speaking of money laundering----

DOJ NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE The Clinton Foundation's finances, and, pay to play relationships with foreign businessmen and foreign governments.......

ITEM---Some observers inside Germany believe the German government has some explaining to do for the Clinton Foundation donation that appears under the foundation's heading “Donors and Grantors”. There is also the question pending: how many German govt ministries gave money to the Clintons?“It seems German taxpayers unwittingly financed Hillary Clinton’s election campaign. Why does a German Ministry support the election campaign of a U.S. presidential candidate?” blogged Vera Lengsfeld — former civil rights activist and German parliamentarian”

ITEM---The Australian newspaper the "Herald Sun" ran an October 2016 article entitled, “Why have we donated to Clinton’s foundation?” The paper noted "Former Australian Prime Minister Gillard donated $300 million of our money to the Clinton-affiliated Global Partnership for Education.”

=======================================

That's one humongous amt of foreign govt money that fell into the hands of the conniving Clintons. The Herald Sun needs to dig deeper---to determine if any of that money took a circuitous route then landed back into the personal coffers of the donors. Could have happened like this:

BACKSTORY When he went to jail, investigators found Ponzi King Bernie Madoff had stashed billions offshore-----into a labyrinth of financial entities.

COLLUSION AND CONSPIRACIES GALORE Some $8.9 billion was funneled to Madoff through a dozen so-called feeder funds based in Europe, the Caribbean and Central America......a labyrinth of hedge funds, management companies and service providers that, to unsuspecting outsiders, seemed to compose a formidable system of checks and balances.

But the purpose of this complex architecture was just the opposite: the feeder funds provided different modes for directing money to Madoff in order to avoid scrutiny.....and taxes.

I know nothing except what I read here on FR, but this info might support LS’s speculation that Mueller is going after the Podestas.
Maybe “Mulehead” has actually flipped Manafort.
Probably pure wishful thinking, but I can hope!

Agree that Manafort is very Swampy, but it's hard for me to understand why Mueller would lead off with this slop while holding back more damaging material. Prosecutors like to open up with a haymaker.

Mueller and Rosenstein have got to go.

Dunno about Manafort either, he’s clearly been a free agent for some time. But one fact is: after the July raid he would have been in prime position to negotiate a deal with Muellers team. We’ll see.
