Frankly, I don’t want anything ‘done’.

I want quite a bit UNdone. Twenty five years of getting closer and closer to the abyss.

Maybe they can undo the tyranny for starters.

I suspect it will get through the house regardless. Will Kalifornia help in the Senate? That is where it will likely die.

There are over 5 million registered republicans in CA. The most in any state. It's easy to poke fun at the nutjobs that are running the state...but that's a whole lot of fellow republicans & conservatives to piss off.

If you don’t want our money, just know you can’t do jack without our votes.

Let's see, Super Majority of Dims in State House, State Senate and State Governor, two Dim Federal Senators and 17 Dim Representatives.

Sounds like the ones who can not do jack with their votes is you.

I left California to move closer to family. I’ve followed his career while in California and continued on in Georgia

Cut both and reduce the budget/spending.

Quit limiting tax cuts by revenue requirements that are too high to begin with. Do the opposite. Set tax goals that make tax rates better for all Americans and reduce federal spending to accommodate the tax cuts. Quit trying to do it the other way around. If I am right the economic benefit of doing both tax cuts and spending cuts will reduce enough revenue to start paying down federal debt, instead of adding to it.

On corporate tax cuts I agree, they should be more in line with our major trading competitors HOWEVER left out of that argument by most who lift it up is that many of our competitors with lower nominal corporate tax rates also have other taxes, like a VAT, that hits what companies make, distribute, by and sell at every level. While the U.S. has higher nominal corporate tax rates, we do not tax what business provides at every stage before it gets to the “retail” level.

Also, I agree that the corporate tax rate should be cut, but if it should be 20%, how are higher tax rates than that justifiable on individuals. Why should corporate tax rates be lower than a tax rate on individuals? I don’t believe it should.

Of course I think all the current GOP tax “reform” is shenanigans and occurring ‘cause they don’t have the gonads to grab the bull by the horns and scrap the whole system with a universal LOW flat tax system with zero deductions, exemptions, exclusions or credits. Just a tax rate all pay, no exceptions, and as simple as a kid in school can figure - income(revenue) * tax rate = tax owed, written on post card size form. No armies of tax lawyers and tax accountants, just a basic public tax everyone pays.

Now that would be truly Conservative instead of working so dam hard to try to keep the Progressive abortion of a tax code running.

Texas needs no help from California, they have enough home grown morons and are the new number one destination for illegals. And like California they have a group of retards that want secede, you know Texit? I gotta laugh at all the Americans that hate other Americans so want to hurt them no matter how damaging to the Nation it will be!

Oh yeah Texas's problems are all because of Californians, it's absolutely amazing that there are so many liberal Californians leaving the state that they are responsible for whatever bad happens in Oregon, Washington, now Texas and where else? What other states are gonna cry it's all California's fault because they refuse to look in their own backyards? Sounds to me like the Cowboys left Texas and only the Cowgirls stayed behind.

My statement was clearly referring to the fact that there ARE Republican House members in Blue states, and without their votes there is no Republican majority.

Is that something you disagree with?

I prefer a National Sales Tax.

Everyone pays every time they buy a beer or a bicycle.

I have no clue what you are rambling on about. I do not blame Kalifornia for Texas problems. I do think we have enough Kalifornia morons in Texas as it is and need no more. Just hang out in Austin for a while and tell me it ain’t so.

We don't seem to have a Republican majority now.

And the blame can be placed on the fact that the blue states put a GOPE shirt on their democRATS and send them as saboteurs to congress.

Is that something you disagree with?

But the resident inti-Christian Freeper, whose postings insist practicing Christians are unqualified to hold office says you should care.

You’re probably cisgendered and transphobic too.

The most in any state

Ah, the usual, misleading with statistics, I have come to expect.

Sorry but considering that many states do not make people register for a political party your statement is irrelevant.

Mexifornia also has 8 million registered demonRATS.

It would be nice if they delayed it because it hurts taxpayers in the other 49 states too.

Maybe if they started acting like republicans they wouldn’t be facing that problem.

I prefer direct taxes, not hidden taxes like sales taxes. Sales taxes tax consumption, and that sounds “good” but no hidden tax (you never notice it) is “good”.

It is not that I think consumption should be preferred over savings &/or investment, anymore than I think (do not) that labor should be preferred over business income & or capital investment.

By taxing the GDP on revenue (the closest approximation of the GDP), and taxing it all equally, there is no tax preference to either labor, savings & investment or consumption. It is a simple across the board hit on the broadest measure of the GDP, which would make it least “unfair” on everyone; goring no one’s ox more than any other one.

Weren’t these not the state folks that said they could independently succeed from the union and get along better? If they didn’t need us, then why are they complaining about our doing something that should have nothing to do with them. Where did that tough talk go?
