I hope this is equivalent to the Baseball owner's 'vote of confidence' for a Manager of a losing ball club.

That particular verse doesn’t get played on the classic rock station in my area: Rock musicians singing about blue collar guys talking about rock musicians. People have become so triggered, irony and satire is completely lost on them.

They did the next best thing: they edited out the verse. Incredibly, one of the liberal hosts on the Sirius XM classic rock channels plays it unedited and says she won’t play it at all if they insist on the edit. Good for her.
I always thought Dire Straits was sympathetic to working-class men in that song, even though they included prissy stink — er — sting to deliver the opening lines “I want my MTV”. The lines you quoted can easily apply to sting.
Whenever I watch youtubes of election night 2016 (which I do frequently), I just shake my head at the Shepah for botching his call for Trump’s victory. He said “Trump is the president of the United States.” When at that time, Trump was actually president-elect.

About a year ago they made him head of Breaking News. He is able to break into any program airing and take their time with his leftist views while doing live coverage of events.

Yup. If you watch Fox and Friends while you get ready for work, when you shut off the tv, the tuner is still receiving the FoxNews stream. So you are counted as a viewer during the daytime in the cable universe.
We should all turn the Drama Queen off as soon as the program comes on. Maybe Fox would get the hint. But they’ve given him that big room with all the toys in it to use as he needs or wants. Maybe that’s why Fox thinks he’s brilliant? I could care less. His reporting is biased and lacking.
