Cruz pulls support from Moore: Allegations merit ‘criminal prosecution’ if true
The Hill ^ | November 13, 2017 | ELLIOT SMILOWITZ

Sen. Ted Cruz on Monday withdrew his support from Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore, saying allegations of sexual misconduct should be looked at by prosecutors.

“As it stands, I can’t urge the people of Alabama to support a campaign in the face of these charges without serious, persuasive demonstration that the charges are not true,” the Texas Republican told reporters, according to a Texas Tribune reporter.

“Both last week and this week, there are serious charges of criminal conduct that if true, not only make him unfit to serve in the Senate but merit criminal prosecution,” he added.

Cruz does fold under pressure! Good point. Which is why the only candidate I supported for President was Trump. It was clear from the first debates that he would never fold instead go on the offense! Which was the only solution to this PC-infected, compromised bunch of pansified Congressmen. We are at the point where only a fighter like Trump could stop this government from collapsing. Someone on another thread said that they believe the Reps want to be in the minority so that when Trump is impeached they can’t be blamed. They want Trump out because his DOJ is getting close to draining the swamp.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Wait, wait...Bill Clinton did all this, and it wasnt 40 years ago, and it was rape.

How can they ignore that, and not claim this is not a political action? They thwart Democracy with tried and true Soviet tactics.

Selective prosecution.

“Ted fights very hard until it is lucrative to surrender.”

That is exactly Ted Cruz. Sadly, it is a deep character flaw and not just a one off. And I was one who those who had thought there was great promise in him.

The RATs have found their secret weapon.

Just trot out a few women with nothing but 40 year old allegations. No proof. Just allegations.

Nothing new. Election 2008 allegation in NYT (and nowhere else) of a McCain affair with a lobbyist. Clarence Thomas / Anita Hill. Donna Brazile was fired from the Dukakis campaign for pushing a story about a GHW Bush affair. And who can forget Al Sharpton / Tawana Brawley

Hey, Teddy; If the allegations are NOT true, do the accusers and their lawyers merit ‘criminal prosecution’?

And even if they ARE true, what actual laws were broken?

Cruz requires disproof of a negative by the accused?
Whatever happened to burden of proof?
Hard to believe he practiced law.

Don’t feel bad.

I really tried to like Ted Cruz.

No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t.

Every time I saw him, I just cringed and got skeeved out.

I had no idea why though, because there were so many people

here who thought he was the best

thing since sliced bread.

“Don’t vote for Trump!” they said.

“Trump is the devil!” they said.

I’m sure he’s right about a few things.

But he’s still a double minded scheming dirty dealer just

like the rest of them.

I figured that people who were so violently against Trump

were either trying to preserve the wetlands or got deceived

by one of the alligators.

I’m glad most of us seem to be on the same page now.

>> A beginning to think it’s all about gender differences and a lot of bitter women ganging up on men to destroy them...

A large segment of the female population has certainly been trained to hate.

Perhaps males made the mistake of making life easier to live but more difficult to endure.

Ted Cruz. is nothing but a PROFESSIONAL POLITICIAN...like all the rest in the Congress..He goes with the flow, which ever way the wind is blowing in his favor..

Is he still married to his wife? anyone seen or heard from her lately? just wondering.

I too tried to like Cruz, but when DJT and his beautiful wife came down that escalator I was sold on DJT simply because he was NOT a politician and he was a very successful businessman..

As the Campaign continued My support became stronger and stronger...I hated the way they treated this man and I hate it even more today...and therefore I will stand with DJT and vote for him again and for any of his kids that run after him..
Great American Family..

WAKE UP VOTERS...POLITICIANS ARE CROOKS..ALL OF THEM...

Like anyone can trust Ted Cruz. I remember how, when he started losing to Trump in a big way, that Senator Cruz attached himself like a remora to the GOPe and even more despicably, he started the parrot a lot of the Democrat activist talking points which are extremely lacking in evidence.

That is when Ted Cruz became “dead to me” politically.

I don’t know what the answer is regarding the state of women today..of which I am one. I can’t hardly enjoy their company anymore apart from close friends. So I do understand the plight of men trying to live with them today let alone listen to them in political matters!

It just appears like women are ready to pounce on anything that disturbs their entitlement world!

To: MinuteGal; dragnet2

Dragnet2 often posts that same scene, showing when ted gets rejected but then it stops right when ted looks directly into the camera, and it lingers on that look for a full second.

It’s devastating.

It gives the impression that the whole thing was a photo op, and when it failed, it made it look like ted was saying to the photographer, “I hope you didn’t see that.”

Well I generally give Ted the benefit of the doubt....that he has good reason when he takes a stand...I don't expect perfection...however ....he just keeps going over the line and plays ‘political’ games and his principles get lost in that shuffle. Every politician and hollywood actor is now thinking about what they did 10,15,20,30 years ago......because women are on a role and IMO going to far.

Rand Paul has always been the only principled conservative among the young Turks of the Senate. Cruz and Lee are phonies.
