Jeff Sessions on Tuesday said there was “not enough evidence” to appoint a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton, a day after reports surfaced that the attorney general had authorized senior prosecutors at the Department of Justice to evaluate an inquiry into the Clinton Foundation.

Testifying before the House judiciary committee, Sessions also appeared to push back on Donald Trump’s repeated insistence that the FBI should focus on investigating Clinton as opposed to potential collusion between his own presidential campaign and Russia.

Regarding Sessions, that may be true, but my primary problem with Sessions is in other areas - pretty much all of them. Had I been sitting in Jim Jordan’s seat yesterday, I’d have asked Sessions, “In your opinion, did the appointment of Robert Mueller meet your standard for appointment of a special prosecutor?”

There are plenty of holes in this whole Moore thing, but it should be pretty easy to find out if he really was asked to stay away from the local mall. If so, he wasn’t just “asked”, he would’ve been threatened...

Jeff Sessions, has this information been withheld from you? I hesitate to ask, because it sounds like an affront, but your response yesterday conveys a lack of knowledge of the severity of her multiple crimes.

People around here are so fed up, they're talking about not voting Nov 6 if Hillary isn't in jail.

I respect Lyons for his military service and experience and world views. However his opinion about the hearings I don’t fully agree with. They did write a final report based on their findings of non confidential and confidential information he had no access to. And do we firmly believe for one second if the smoking gun were there to have bullet proof evidence that it would not have been out there for he world to see? What we did see left little doubt to anyone what had occurred yet again it is DOJ job to bring forward indictments. If anything Gowdy’s hearing almost single handedly prevented the Hillary presidency in the findings of the secret server.

Lyons has always been a critic of politics at one point or another, right or wrong. So much so that even Reagan had to replace him because he always had an opinion of everything that crossed his desk

Your thought addresses a question of mine for some time. I have wondered why we would need a special prosecutor when we have the FBI? The FBI can investigate and indict all by themselves. We just need them to do that. And IF they are doing their job, we wont know until the indictments come down.

The issue is people want to know that the FBI is doing its job, because they have failed so badly under the last admin. And people are looking for proof of that. Lacking that proof, they want to make sure an independent investigation is occurring. So do we sit by patiently or keep pounding on the table?

Trump has accomplished a lot, but the crimes of the Clintons, her cronies too numerous to list, Obama and his cronies, need to be prosecuted.
