Unemployment rates fell to record lows in Alabama, Hawaii and Texas last month, and dropped in nine other U.S. states. [ ]
Steady hiring has driven down unemployment in most states in the past year. Nationwide, the rate fell to 4.1 percent in October, a 17-year low. That is down from 4.8 percent a year earlier. [ ]
The biggest October gain was in Florida, which added 125,300 jobs as it recovered nearly all the jobs that it had lost in September due to Hurricane Irma. Texas added 71,500, which also reflected a bounce-back from Hurricane Harvey. And California gained 31,700.
The states with the biggest losses were Connecticut, with 6,600; Nebraska, also with 6,600; and South Dakota, with 2,400.

Sounds like something democrats will be outraged about.
Winning!
Actually got in a funny tiff with a family member about this. He tried the whole doomsday it wont last line and I suggested that eliminating onerous regulations had a hand in this. As per a typical left wing emotional basket case, he quickly turned the topic to the EPA and tried to challenge me on how I could accept whats being done there.
Its ingrained in their DNA to change the topic when their points are illogical and the go to topic is global warming.
Its hilarious how quickly you can wind up a lefty by being a climate denier! I never tangle with them on that, its their religion and no amount of facts will penetrate their bubble.
In California, IT hiring is up. Just yesterday, I was attending talk , around 8-9 people announced job opening in different companies.
Next month , GE digital in San Ramon, CA is laying of Sales and Software Engineers. Number may be in 1000+. This month layoff number was 300+
Say it's no so DemocRATS. Trump can't be having an effect like this.
Never mind this, where is that picture of President Trump drinking a glass of water?
In an absolute sense, the economy is still not doing that well. We have tens of millions sitting outside the job market that want to be employed but arent counted. They are the same people that were there through Obamas boom. So the unemployment umbers are still bogus.
That said, relativisticly things are clearly improving just be easing unreasonable regulations and not having the President playing whack-a-mole with the economy. There is a lot of backlog to account for before 4.5% unemployment means what it used to mean.
