Republican Women in Alabama Begin to Turn on Roy Moore
Daily Beast ^ | 11.22.17 | Patricia Murphy

Posted on 11/22/2017 10:02:43 AM PST by detective

If Jones is to pull off a victory, it will be because women like Shirley knocked on doors, called neighbors, and worked to convince otherwise skeptical voters that his opponent is fundamentally unfit for the office he’s seeking. A few weeks ago, that seemed like a tall order. As the election nears, it no longer appears quite so improbable.

Allegations that Moore routinely pursued teenage girls and in some cases assaulted them when he was a single man in his thirties have caused Republican voters in Alabama to reassess their options. Some have decided to rally around the nominee. But others have recoiled, leaving Moore in real risk of losing his attempt to take over the seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Marriage didn't stop Weinstein or Cosby or any of the other pervs.

Allred needs to let experts take a big gander at the yearbook, because that is supposedly their only note of proof.

Yeah sure.

This is fading, and these liberal sites are trying so, so hard to keep the dying story on life support.

It’s a Marxist website. Why even post anything from such a site ??

Because FReepers are smart enough to take this into account.

Or at least we used to be.

very unlikely. WOMEN can usually tell about a man.
(much, much better than other guys normally can)

if anything, I think the women’s vote for Judge Moore will be higher than even the men’s

“Why even post anything from such a site ??”

Do you want to be aware of what is being written and what is going on?

The Alabama Senate race is being fought in the national media. People should know what is happening.

All that needs to be done is to remind those Alabama Republican women that Moore’s opponent is a hard core, far left, gun grabbing, planned barren hood supporting democrat. No republican woman in Alabama votes for baby murdering democrats. And if any do vote for baby murderers, they are democrats at heart anyway.

I think Moore's kind of creepy but not a pervert. And just because Weinstein and Cosby didn't respect their marriage vows doesn't mean Moore doesn't respect his.

You’ll notice there is no discussion of the positions taken by Doug Jones. No mention of his opposition to tax cuts. His support for illegal immigration, gun control, and unlimited abortion. Nor, is there any mention that Doug Jones is a democrat. Jones is doing his very best to hide his party affiliation and his position on the things that matter most.

Moore needs to quit talking about these allegations and start reminding the people of Alabama why they vote for republicans.

There should be some investigation of these “Republican” “women”, to see if they really are what they claim to be.

These are the same women who call into the C-SPAN morning chit chat show and start their call with, "I USED to vote straight Republican, but now ....." (insert topic of the day)

Judge Moore is not creepy nor is he a perv. He is a man who will tip the true conservative vote in the Senate and the left believes he needs to be smashed to bits at all costs even if they have to lie about him.

McConnell came out strongly against Moore when the innuendos began. Because HE doesn't want him in there either.

It is curious that he has been a hot water candidate for his entire political career and in that entire time they NEVER come across anything unsavory UNTIL he threatened to disrupt there fine little nest.

We all need to notice the undercurrent of this issue because it stinks to high heaven.

If these women are to be believed Moore was doing it well into his 30s. He married when he was 38.

Leaving it open-ended, as in "Moore was doing it well into his 30s," does Moore a disservice.

More precisely, since Moore was in the army until 1974, and then went directly into law school and graduated in 1977, it would be fair to say that he only had the opportunity to "do it" during the period of 1977 until he met his wife at Christmastime in 1984. They married a year later.

Looking at the dates of the allegations, the earliest is from Beverly Young Nelson, who claimed Moore assaulted her "just days after Moore signed her yearbook on Dec. 22, 1977." We now highly suspect that the yearbook signature was forged, so we have to toss out this date.

The next allegation was from Leigh Corfut, who claimed that Moore touched her when she was 14 in early 1979. This would then bracket the period of Moore "doing it" to be from 1979 to 1984, or only a six year period.

I would conclude that it's more fair to say that Moore was "doing it" for only a six year period (from age 32 to 37), rather than saying that "Moore was doing it well into his 30s." The latter makes it sound like he's been doing it all his adult life.
