Earthquake Felt in Maryland (Vanity)

I just felt an earthquake and checked the USGS. Sure enough:

The one a few years ago also had a deep rumbling you could hear.
I didn’t hear anything this time.

Yeah I’ve heard that earthquakes often sound like large vehicles.

Being in Nebraska, it is something I only ever experienced once, and I actually thought I was having some dizziness issues or something. I was sitting down, but everything was moving... This was not that long ago, maybe last summer?

Felt it all the way up in Litchfield County, CT - in an ‘antique’ wood-frame house, on ancient bedrock - lots of rock, rattle, and roll...

The one a few years ago created a large banging when it was happening.

I thought the large transformer outside the office building was moving.

Yeah it’s definitely strange when things start moving around like that. This was the first one we had since 2011 (which was a big one).

I’m FAR out of this circle, and I “felt” it. Rumble in the air. Wasn’t concerned.

But I heard it at the exact moment the shockwave should have gotten here. I could be wrong, but I think I felt it in Scranton. PA

I remember the one six years ago. My bilko doors have leaked ever since (guess it messed up the concrete). The one today I didn’t feel or hear but I was laying down reading. Animals are acting ok.

Obviously worked well since they noticed it as far north as northern New Jersey.

We have a full moon today, so a strong aftershock in the next few days is a distinct possibility.
