This smacks of the same tactics the FBI used to get Martha Stewart, Scooter Libby, and many others. They can't prove the charges they wanted so they get you for some type of lying to the FBI, regardless of it was an intentional lie or one of mistake or forgetfulness. In Libby's case it was something as innocuous as some telephone calls he could not remember on a certain date. Pretty lame stuff. So the other question is this, are they going to offer him any deal in exchange for Perjured testimony against Trump & Company?

All this is, is just Flynn revealing the details of the contact he had with the Russians, the contact he hid from Pence and what got him fired as NSA. Here’s the meat of the news, the real take home message:

“According to the charging document, those false statements were that:
‘“On or about Dec 29, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Government of Russia’s Ambassador to the United States ... to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the United States had imposed against Russia that same day; and FLYNN did not recall the Russian Ambassador subsequently telling him that Russia had chosen to moderate its response to those sanctions as a result of his request.
‘On or about December 22, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Russian Ambassador to delay the vote on or defeat a pending United Nations Security Council resolution; and that the Russian Ambassador subsequently never described to FLYNN Russia’s response to his request.’
“The latter statement appears to refer to the body’s vote a day later to condemn Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
“In a striking rupture with past practice, the Obama administration refrained from vetoing the condemnation, opting instead to abstain. The rest of the 15-nation council, including Russia, voted unanimously against Israel. At the time, Israel was lobbying furiously against the resolution and President-elect Trump’s team spoke up on behalf of the Jewish state. ”

Problem here is, the Clinton attack dogs that Meuller has hired, unethical people like Weissman, will do anything. He has been convicted in the past of threatening witnesses, he created a false charge against Anderson Consulting that put that company and 85,000 people out of work. The decision was eventually reversed by the Supreme Court 9-0
They could easily create a false story, that Trump will have to take a lot of time and resources to defend.

Flynn talking to Pence was a big flub!

ABC is reporting that Flynn will testify that Candidate Trump instructed him to contact Russia about Syria.

Perjured testimony against this President can have what I call “horrific consequences” against the deep state. Just look at the backlash that we have been seeing in other things. I expect the retaliation for what we are currently seeing to be furious and vicious.
