ABC News has announced that Brian Ross would be suspended for four weeks without pay “effective immediately.”

“It is vital we get the story right and retain the trust we have built with our audience – these are our core principles. We fell far short of that yesterday,” the network said in a statement on Saturday. “Effective immediately, Brian Ross will be suspended for four weeks without pay.”

Ross came under considerable fire on Friday after he erroneously reported on live television that then-candidate Donald Trump had instructed Michael Flynn to make contact with the Russians.

My gut is saying the same thing. He’s a codger and they can just say he retired. If younger it could be different. Wasn’t it Brian Williams was was let go for chronic lying? Then he re-appeared.

Let us know if anybody is planning a class action lawsuits against ABC. That putz cost me an easy $20,000. ABC even admitted that it didn’t do due diligence on validating that report. Damages real and quantifiable the perps admitting they were wrong and not to professional standard. It is an easy case and the cumulative damages of a class action suit would be astronomical, we could end up owning ABC.

OTOH—when I got up, my wife, an investment adviser , was looking at CNBC, and noted that the Dow was up 248 points. So-—I was not aware of the drop yesterday (she didn’t mention it) but it may have regained , and then some, what it lost yesterday.
