All 4 in southern latitude states and 3 of the 4 are side by side on the map. Alabama, Georgia, and S. Carolina are side by side by side geographically. Clemson is probably the best of the 4. Then again Oklahoma has got a great QB. UGA has got great running backs and Alabama could possibly get its injured players back onto the field.

Both of my teams drew tough opponents. OK State has the #2 offense in the country and the #1 QB.

Toledo has the #8 Qb in the nation.

It’s going to be long nights for us.

I am a bit surprised that Bama was chosen over OSU, nothing against the Tide though. I just thought for TV ratings they might go with a yankee team. Clemson, GA and Bama are in a pretty small geographical area, Tuscaloosa is just 274 miles from Athens and 347 miles from Greenville. Athens is only 96 miles from Greenville. Not walking distance but in the big scheme it is a small triangle.

The College Fake Playoff rolls on. Thank you ESPN for deciding who are the best teams on paper rather than the field.

Take the Power 5 Champions and add 3 other Champions and have a real Championship.

This year, the Cotton Bowl turns into Rose Bowl East as USC and Ohio State--off and on rivals since 1936--square off.

Go, Trojans!

Since the days of Bear Bryant and Alabama dominating college football, Alabama has had a national fan base.

The reason OSU was rejected and it should be no surprise is that one of their 2 losses is a 55-23 thrashing they absorbed by the unranked Iowa Hawkeyes. Case closed.

The selection committee is a fake committee. There are 13 committee members. On the final vote 3 had to recuse themselves from voting on the top 8 because they were affiliated with schools in consideration. So in effect only 77% of the committee voted on the final rankings.

They need to go to an 8 team playoff, have the 5 power conference winners automatically qualify and select 3 at large bids.
