College enlists 'Care Bears' to comfort stressed-out students

A dorm 'for honors students' at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst recently put up a display featuring Care Bears characters offering advice for "grumpy or stressed" students.

When I was in college that would have been a severe embarrassment if someone put that junk up!...wouldn’t have been up for even minutes.
And you know that students would whip-out a pen and "enhance" the cartoons in many different ways.

When I was a freewheelin' hippie (late '60's, early '70's) we sort'a prided ourselves in gettin' over the straights (had a different meaning back then) because they didn't have a
clue what we were all about (WE were a little in the darl also, but we were gettin' high an' gettin' laid and it was DAMNED fun ! (when makin' love was just for fun ... those days are done .. etc.)
We chuckled and partied on LIFE's attempt to pictorially "educate" their readers what acid was and what it was like to "be on a trip"
It was all such a joke, a goof and FUN!
I'm beginning to suspect all this snowflake, care bear and whatever talk is the same as we were back then .... just goofin' on "the straights" that have no clue.
I am SO out of the loop, but I remember (almost all all of ) how I got here

Would love to know just who it was that made it and put it up....surprised students didn't take it down actually....but then they're all ‘afeared’ of doing anything that offends someone.
