Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who was reportedly scheduled to testify behind closed doors in front of the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, will instead meet next week due to a "scheduling error," Department of Justice officials told Fox News.
McCabe’s testimony was likely to, at least in part, focus on Peter Strzok’s role in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Strzok is a former deputy to the assistant director at the FBI who was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's staff after Mueller learned Strzok had exchanged anti-Trump texts with a colleague.
House investigators previously told Fox News they have long regarded Strzok as a key figure in the chain of events when the bureau, in 2016, received the infamous anti-Trump “dossier,” which launched a counterintelligence investigation into possible Russian meddling in the election.
“This was a routine scheduling error after the dates were switched on an internal email that we are happy to provide the committee,” a Justice Department official told Fox News. “The FBI regrets the error, and we look forward to making both witnesses (the alleged FBI handler for Christopher Steele and McCabe) available prior to the Christmas recess."

Heh heh, yes, that would be a perfect snare for the snake McCabe. He would have to testify or else give up his job. Of course, if he may know he’s doomed anyway (in the future) then he definitely won’t appear.... we don’t know what may or may not have occurred to date between him and Wray or him and Sessions/Rosenstein.
That’s the thing still not sure which side some will come down in the end, but getting clearer every hour.

Seriously, isn’t it about time for closed door congressional hearings, since you can only bank on drama and performances by congressmen, but net nothing of substance.
These witnesses cannot speak in a public forum on any questions having to do either with an investigation or another witness, and presently everything has to do with an investigation or a witness.
Ridiculous show of harrumphing and bluster.
These FBI and Justice Department people look a bit bland and passive to wield such power over the nation. What is going on?
They are gonna lie their ass off and they just don’t have enough time to formulate all the lies.Also look for a huge memory loss on the part of Mccabe,no surprises there.

Coup d’etat is defined in Wikipedia as “the illegal and overt seizure of a state by the military or other elites within the state apparatus”.
It is difficult for Americans, who have a long tradition of the orderly transition of power, to admit that what we are seeing now is a coup. But it grows ever more obvious that this is exactly what we are experiencing. To review briefly:
Trump’s legitimacy has been challenged continuously since election day, beginning with the ridiculous recounts in multiple states, continuing with the loudly publicized calls for the Electoral College to void the election, and culminating with violent protests across the nation, including in DC for the inauguration.
A cadre of powerful connected individuals have banded together under the motto #NeverTrump, originally before the election, but continuing after to deprive Trump of all legitimacy and find any method to remove him.
The media have taken a lead role in the plotting and execution of the delegitimization of the President. All major news organizations have helped the plotters along, some such as NBC and CNN are particularly dedicated in their support.
A series of carefully scripted political moves were made to force the appointment of an Independent Counsel (IC) to investigate Trump, more or less guaranteeing the continuation of the delegitimization campaign, ad infinitum.
Impeachment has been made a constant topic in the news, via a few minor political players like Maxine Waters, coupled with a multi-million dollar ad campaign paid for by a liberal hedge fund billionaire, Tom Steyer.
We are approaching the end of the first-phase of the coup. This is a non-military coup, but what we are witnessing clearly fits the definition of “the overt seizure of the state by an elite within the state apparatus”
That means that McCabe needs to prep his answers
and meet with lawyers on how to 'phrase his responses'.
There are already two separate Congressional investigations on McCabe,

My guess is its not a “routine scheduling error” and that, instead, Mueller has some news this week that McCabe being put under oath would distract from and undercut.
Not gonna look good for the Mueller inquisition once his three primary investigative conduits McCabe, Ohr and Srovok start taking the Fifth in front of Congress. Then the cries go out for investigating the investigators and forcing the Dems into the unhappy position of defending witnesses pleading the fifth amendment
Give the poor guy a break. Hellary had the same sort of problems after problems after problems in getting them to get synced with her royal schedule.
Agree entirely; if you have senior FBI and Justice Dept. officials taking the Fifth in public in front of Congress, it would remind too many people of the 50s hearings on the Mafia.
Apparently, there’s a story floating around that he was involved with an underage cheerleader... but to be fair, it’s not a story I can believe.
So? According to the Dems now....he must resign!
Take him into protective custody now, instead of later?
and with all this news, somehow there’s very little reporting on the Awan brothers and Uranium 1..
