He can because no conservative plainly stated that his moral superiority act was a fraud, they always chase the shiny like a cat chases a laser pointer. Shumer is a blowhard nothingburger

I like the time he told the white voters he will get rid of the blacks in their neighborhood. Larry elder played the tape.

i used a penalty calculator and a family of four with $100,000 income and no insurance (and no excuses) pays ~$2,000.00 in 2017. That’s a BIG tax savings in 2018 and later ...

“And if the promises of tax saving come to fruition next year, the Democrats will have some “splainin” to do.”

even more important than individual tax savings is if the tax bill results in big economic growth as predicted. WSJ said yesterday they think the bill will add 1.3% growth (not just .3% growth according to the “consensus”) to the current growth rate. This could bring the annual economic growth rate close to 5%!

The Dems would REALLY have some “splainin” to do in that case!

I caught part of the rant on Fox News this AM.

He tried to say that families making $200,000 were middle class. He just popped that in there and trundled ahead like it was nothing, and nobody would do a spit-take.

“And Upstate slides a paper bag over its collective head...”

yeah. Unfortunately, Upstate is in the same boat as the rest of the rural U.S., which comprises nearly ALL of the U.S. excepting a couple dozen urban counties ...

Foghorn Leghorn to Henry Hawk, “Pay attention, boy, this is for your own good (nice kid but he doesn’t listen to a word you say)!

During the 1994 debate on the `assault weapons’ ban, Schumer confronted semi-auto gun owners head on at an Upstate firing range. Several times he shouted “Stop yelling at me!!” and “You’re just not listening!”

Schumer was still in the House at that time and boasted after the vote that a majority of his constituents in NYC were against the ban. Sheer arrogance.

“In other words, a singularly repellant man, whose election and re-election by the voters of New York State remains a mystery to me. Who could stand to vote for such an obnoxious man? Evidently, New Yorkers see his behavior as normal and acceptable.”

I grew up in the NYC suburbs. There are 62 counties in New York State and Trump won 46 of them. Schumer wins like all Democrats do in NY, by running up the vote totals in NYC and the major urban areas upstate. Republicans will never win the Presidential vote in NY, unless it is a Reagan sized landslide.
