Accepting free upgrades to 1st class sounds a lot like bribery/getting free income based upon your position in congress. If this income went unreported, it is illegal and the congresswoman is most definitely at fault.

I assume that the taxpayer only pays the coach price for her ticket. If she wants 1st class she has to pay the additional money herself.

Sheila Jackson Lee got what she demanded at the expense of a working American who actually paid for what our elitist 'leader' wanted as her right - the outcome that democrats expect. The flight attendant who was "very, very nice"? She was the one who gave the seat another passenger paid for away to the person she identified with based on grievance culture, again siding with a democrat tradition, of course Sheila Jackson Lee thinks she was nice. And naturally, she plays the race card when her abuse of power is called out.

Anyone who expects the ruling class to accept the occasional inconveniences of ordinary life should pay attention. DC insiders in power are too spoiled to do so. Instead, those of us who are not in power are expected to (literally) step aside for what they see as our betters.
