Our Harpoons are no match for these latest gen ones whatsoever. One thing we’ve needed since the 80s is a supersonic (today maybe hypersonic) anti-ship missile.
why? primary anti-ship assets of the USN re subs and carrier based air craft. Besides Anti-ship missiles are huge and take up valuable ship real estate.
Can these shoot down lazorZ? Railgun projectiles? Flying and submerged drone swarms?
Expected deployments are about the same time. ;)
