Yes, you are correct. The cop is the primary killer here. If he had acted rationally, then this incident would have remained an ugly "prank" and we wouldn't even be talking about it.

I'm also concerned that in the one photo of the victim which I saw, the victim appeared to be black. If that is the case, watch out. I don't have a lot of sympathy with BLM, but there have been cases where cops murdered an innocent black man.

And the played out mantra of "he was reaching for his waistband" has got to end.

It's like that woman killed by "a hunter" recently while she was walking her dogs on her own property. Rambo said he thought he was shooting a deer. If you aren't 110% sure of what you see, don't pull the trigger.

Agreed. The cops had no legitimate reason to fear for their lives. Make an example of the cop. Put the SWATter away for a long stretch. And make Wichita pay the family twice the pension the cop would have got upon normal retirement.
