When was the last time any of these people vacationed in Haiti or Venezula?
When commercials come on begging for money for little kids starving in mud huts, covered in flies are the visuals meant to inspire comfort or horror?
If these places aren’t shitholes, then why the hell aren’t people flocking to them?
The truth is ugly,eh? Do people ‘escape’ paradises? It’s 2018 and yes- there are still backward,uncivilized shithole countries. Not our fault-theirs. If these lovely places are NOT bad why do their citizens not want to return? Don’t like being called a shithole country? FIX IT. Fix your attitudes and mentality then change the visual evidence that your countries ARE the shitholes from which you ran away!
If Castro’s Cuba is such a great place to live, why are the Haitians not flocking there, since it is a much shorter trip?..........Answer: Cuba sinks any Haitian refugee ships on sight.........................
Haiti and The Dominican Republic share the same island. They both speak French.
Haiti has the Western third and Dominican Republic has the Eastern two-thirds.
Look at a satellite pic of the island.
The East two thirds are a tropical paradise, full of plants and lovely.
The Western third has denuded hills and bare dirt, hardly any trees or vegetation at all.
The people of Dominican Republic are not fleeing their country in droves. They are a vacation spot that people love to travel to and spend their money.
They will keep trying..............
