That’s the funny thing. This is a reverse case, where the parents are already legal. In fact it says they were legal before he was born... and yet they never bothered to legalize him. Maybe they didn’t think they needed to. Crazy.
So wait: now ICE being *indiscriminate* is a problem? Is it then NPR’s position that ICE should be going after some groups more aggressively than others?

Why the h*ll didn't one of his parents get US citizenship and then apply for a green card for their son. Having a merit system for legal immigrants is a good idea. If you're too dense to apply for a green card and then citizenship then suffer the consequences.
