Internal Justice Department probe eyes McCabe’s role in final weeks of 2016 election
The Washington Post ^ | January 30,2017 | Devlin Barrett and Karoun Demirjian

Posted on 01/30/2018 2:13:30 PM PST by Hojczyk

The Justice Department’s inspector general has been focused for months on why Andrew McCabe, as the No. 2 official at the FBI, appeared not to act for about three weeks on a request to examine a batch of Hillary Clinton-related emails found in the latter stages of the 2016 election campaign, according to people familiar with the matter.

The inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, has been asking witnesses why FBI leadership seemed unwilling to move forward on the examination of emails found on the laptop of former congressman Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) until late October — about three weeks after first being alerted to the issue, according to these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

A key question of the internal investigation is whether McCabe or anyone else at the FBI wanted to avoid taking action on the laptop findings until after the Nov. 8 election, these people said. It is unclear whether the inspector general has reached any conclusions on that point.

A major line of inquiry for the inspector general has been trying to determine who at the FBI and the Justice Department knew about the Clinton emails on the Weiner laptop, and when they learned about them. McCabe is a central figure in those inquiries, these people said.

The FBI declined to comment, as did a spokesman for the inspector general. An attorney for McCabe did not respond to a request for comment.

Indeed. I think the president Trump administration is a little flummoxed with the question of “who do we put in prison and who do we not?”

I never tire of the winning, I’m savoring the gnashing teeth and the warm tears of their women, however.

Gotcha. God Bless the President

And we need to find out who orchestrated this cabal. That’s what the WP doesn’t want us to find out.

We all know it was orchestrated from the White Hut. The kenyan was too lazy to do it himself but he certainly knew about it and delegated to those who executed it.

Don't thank me. See these guys (generally good, and have been great on this, but sometimes "sundance" goes a bit far out on a limb.)

Latest, a cover of a report made by Catherine Herridge, is here: https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/01/30/oh-lordy-fbi-director-wray-sent-counterintelligence-official-to-review-memo-prior-to-committee-vote/#more-145221

Scroll to the bottom for a treasure trove of background. As I say, keep in mind sundance sometimes goes off the rails when speculating.

( Who is the Leader of the Coup). Thant's what the WP doesn’t want us to find out.

Ahh but we already know who that is . . . and they know we know-

that little muslim creep who just happened to serve 8 years as an ineligible chief executive.

Therein lies the root of EVERYTHING

I believe this is untrue.

If you go back and read the 99 page memo from the ODNI on the FISA Court (FISC) finding that was declassified in March and testified about publicly by Mike Rogers and DNI Coates, there are two tidbits that are going to make things very uncomfortable for Zero, who appears to have been fully engaged.

1) Rogers' compliance officer at NSA reported to the FISC that there were very high levels of queries concerning Americans against the NSA database via so-called "about queries" in 2015 and 2016.

The NSA reported to the FISC that as many as 85% of queries made against Americans during this time were "improper" (read: illegal.)

Why illegal? Well after reporting the queries to FISC, Rogers and his compliance officer asked the FISC to shutdown the program, until NSA could come up with a way of blocking further improprieties, and the FISC concurred. FISC would not have been willing to do that if these queries were simply "mistakes" or "overreaches."

Think what that means: a Federal Court at the Appeals level whose members are appointed directly by the Chief Justice of the United States found abuses so egregious coming from Justice Dept and NSC that they actually ordered their access to NSA material shutdown in October, 2016.

This is all public, declassified material, and it's bad enough. But here is also a tantalizing rumor: Nunes memo is believed to contain references to 0bama's PDB. In other words, the pResident was briefed daily on these illegal accesses.

2) Also in open source, not my imagination or rumors: In the declassified FISC finding, we discover that after learning of the illegal accesses in 2015-2016 NSA went further back, and discovered that the level of activity for the period going all the way back to 2012 was roughly the same.

From these two points, two conclusions:
1) DOJ/FBI/NSC/WH will not be able to claim "we did this because: Russia." The illegalities almost certainly mean 0bama was not just spying on Trump, but on ALL of the Republicans. And, even if the target was Trump alone, FBI had no Russia investigation going in 2015.

2) Because the level of activity was actually discovered to be the same from 2012-2016, it is a near certainty that 0bama was spying on Romney during his presidential run as well.

Those time periods encompass large changes in WH personnel, but the continuity of the "improper about queries" spans the period before Zero's second term.

Will he be an "unindicted co-conspirator?" We have some grounds for hope.

“McCabe should not be allowed to resign and collect pension - he should be fired, indicted, prosecuted, and sent to prison, along with a horde of other libtards, such as Comey, Lynch, Powers, Hitlary Clinton, etc., etc., etc.!”

Yet most of these high treason co-conspirators, after one year with Jeff Sessions at the helm, are still employed by the DOJ. No firings...no prosecutions. What a country, eh?

I was surprised to hear Newt tear Sessions a new ahole today on Hannity’s program.

Sean asked why these corrupt bastards are still employed at the FBI. Newt said he doesn’t know what Sessions is doing... ‘He should have reached down and fired McCabe months ago.’

There is a story by one of the guys at https://truepundit.com that he has been threatening that very thing.

Personally, I'm a tad wary of https://twitter.com/Thomas1774Paine (his twitter account) myself, and would wait for some more confirmation. But there is a logical appeal here,as you note, because this is the "Prisoner's Dilemma," right?

Great post. I thought I was paying attention. With the early IRS abuse, I have no doubt the O’muslim treason regime was using the various alphabet groups as a tool against their enemies. They didn’t need any so called FISA warrants either.

An attorney for McCabe did not respond to a request for comment.

That was quick...or was the attorney already on retainer?

Pretty interesting Sundance post. Yeah, as of now we have no idea where Bill Priestap fits into this whole cabal, or not, but one would thank that the head of the FBI’s counterintelligence operation is not the type of guy that would allow himself to become the fall guy in a foiled sedition plot.

“OIG is coordinating non-classified leaks strategically with Judiciary”

My brain is in a fog. Are you saying the corrupt bastards at the OIG are setting up fall guys(too tainted to save-McCabe, etc) in order to immunize the bigger corrupt fishes at the top?
