A recent report by the Polaris Project, an anti-human trafficking organization, found that there are over 3,300 massage parlors in California that are posing fronts for sex trafficking.

Things are really coming to a head in California, I see.
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise
Second
Seriously? You believe that this is a California exclusive problem? Or is it just a broken record playing?
Gosh. I just never would have imagined that something other than a massage of naked people would be going on in one of those businesses.
They forgot to add to the report that they are here illegally?
from the article:
“These coercive methods include telling victims that they will be arrested for prostitution or deported by immigration officials if they try to leave the business”
meaning that they are here illegally. In California illegals that are victims of crime or witnesses to crimes are given the right to remain in the country.
There was one massage parlor that wasn’t?
Mrs. Hugin wanted a real massage and went into one in a local suburban shopping center. The Asian girl up front told her “Oh no, this isn’t that kind of massage parlor”.
I’m sure the only beef is that the State isn’t getting their FAIR share back in taxes.
Lol. They are all middle-aged and up. Not a place worth spending money. Not that I would anyway because it’s a sin. And I’m married. Or something. Sometimes I forget :-)
“A reminder to all who are discussing this issue - dont assume that the employees of these institutions are all illegals. Ill bet many if not most of them are truly legal immigrants”
Having lived all of my 59 years here, based on the outside signage of these places, for the most part only Asian ladies need apply.
In my 48 years, I have never received a massage.
However last year, one of the guys at my job suggested this Asian massage shop in the Denver area for a foot massage.
(I walk about 10-15 miles in a 12-hour shift, and my paws get quite sore)
My Wife and I went in, and our feet were rubbed for about 20 minutes. It was awesome.
The place is kinda far, though. I’d like to find a closer massage shop where my Wife and I WON’T get arrested for being on the property when there’s a raid for this kind of thing.
Not sure what your point is. That these girls are really lucky because they’ve been forced into sex for years that they might become citizens because of it? Not a happy ending for anyone. No pun intended
The most amazing part of the story is that some massage parlors aren’t fronts for the sex trade.
Here’s something the state can legalize and slap avhuge tax on.
Water is wet.
I’d say this is an accurate description of the parlor workers. They are all over the place in Atlanta too and we have these local vigilantes on a mission to fight “human trafficking” by busting locals who are otherwise law abiding citizens while not acknowledging the real source of the problem -illegal immigration. If they really wanted to stop this problem why don’t they do it at the border?
How long did it take for them to figure that out?
Did one of the investigators manage to stumble in a Massage Parlor and was asked if he wanted “A happy ending”?
