"Outstanding! Turnabout is fair play and let’s make sure THIS special council can go ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE they want with no restrictions, just like Mueller did"

Which is why another special council isn't the best option. Could turn into yet another anti-Trump free for all.

A federal grand jury would be a better option.

One for Hill and Bill’s many many crimes, especially those committed as SOS and then candidate for POTUS. Hang her high. But don’t hang Bill. He used to be POTUS. Give him the chair.

Schiff claimed he’d get FBI clearance on it before sending it to the WH.

Best suggestion I've heard has no name attached. Some judge from the midwest.

All the names you've mentioned have expressed public opinions, so have prejudged.

Sessions is bringing tears of pain to my eyes. Up till now he has been the Manchurian Attorney General.

Given the historic treason we're seeing unfolding, Sessions should have rescinded his recusal, or resigned by now, to allow the President to appoint an effective AG.

The fact that he's done neither, is proof positive that he is being controlled by dark forces that are hostile to the present administration.

I am absolutely amazed that there's not a nationwide call for his resignation.

And no crime need be listed to investigate to set up a special prosecutor! There’s precedent thanks to RR.

I don’t think Sessions has recused himself from *everything*, but I would not have expected the WH lawyers to be weighing in like this.

“I don’t think Sessions has recused himself from *everything*”

Technically no but actually yes. Since Jeff won’t do it who would?

Has anyone noticed that there is a lot of news lately from this new "news" group Axios?

And this is why I vetted what they said with something independent.

Trump can call for one and appoint one I think...

Trump would have fired Sessions if he has not been doing what he wants...

Its the Art of the Deal...distract from what you are doing..we can not see what is really going on..

Looks like Trump has the Democrats running in circles..

Why? He happened to be the most successful federal prosecutor in history. You knew that right?

Has a president ever called one previously?

The president needs to appoint the new special counsel personally. Who this person is, is the whole ball game. The GOPe will push hard for a Bush-era DOJ figure that will protect the swamp and just slap a few people on the wrist.

Since Sessions has recused himself from anything having to do with the Trump or Hillary campaigns or Russia, and the abuse is connected to both campaigns as well as Russia, it would otherwise fall to Rosenstein to appoint the special counsel.

Rosenstein should not be allowed to select the special counsel. He personally signed one of the FISA warrants that would be a subject of investigation.

Rosenstein might resign in protest if Trump does appoint a second counsel. That would be good riddance.

My question is why wasn’t one appointed 10 months ago?!!

It only took days the deep state and rats to get Mueller appointment. But one that will investigate the real corruption is taking forever.

The IG report will only do so much. We need a real prosecutor.
