FBI employees Peter Strzok and Lisa Page apparently were enticed into Mueller’s investigation where they were exposed.

WOW...so many are so wrong in their understanding!

Title 28 → Chapter VI → Part 600—GENERAL POWERS OF SPECIAL COUNSEL

§600.5 Staff.
A Special Counsel may request the assignment of appropriate Department employees to assist the Special Counsel. The Department shall gather and provide the Special Counsel with the names and resumes of appropriate personnel available for detail. The Special Counsel may also request the detail of specific employees, and the office for which the designated employee works shall make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request. The Special Counsel shall assign the duties and supervise the work of such employees while they are assigned to the Special Counsel. If necessary, the Special Counsel may request that additional personnel be hired or assigned from outside the Department. All personnel in the Department shall cooperate to the fullest extent possible with the Special Counsel.

The deck was stacked, which is what many don't grasp.

I have enormous respect for Jeff Sessions. I’ve watched him for years stick to his guns on unpopular issues like illegal immigration. I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, but I think he feels very deeply about doing the right thing and going by the book. I’d be shocked if he were covering up for the DC insiders.

Sessions is a lawyer and has explained that he interpreted the law or ethics rules and had no choice but to recuse himself. Did Trump or Sessions have any idea that this insanity about “Russia” would continue after he took office and end up with Mueller?

Does Sessions have to stay out of the stuff about the illegal surveillance as well, or just the Mueller probe?

I believe Sessions is being his upright, diligent self and not commenting. I do not believe he’d sell out his country. I’d like to see Rosenstein leave and be replaced with someone like Rudy Giuliani. Didn’t he go after the mob?

“If ether inept or compromised he would be ong gone.Remember this is Trump’s man. If he were not accomplishing what Trump wants then he would not be there.”

Guess we could say the same for Rosenstein since he is Trump’s guy also?

For me, the jury is still out on Sessions. I will likely wait to see what happens once the IG report comes out.

@ FreeReign...Sessions Maybe, but Rosenstein! are you kidding? he’s as dirty as Hillary’s diaper. He has History going way back with Comey, Mueller and Mccabe with U1...You think he’s a white hat? There is proof all 4 have committed felonies. Sessions needs to indict Rosenstein, not praise him.

I agree with you on Rosenstein. I'm not sure why you think I don't.

How much time do you think Sessions should have to make a move after the IG report? 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years, or more?

I would give him no more than 2 weeks.

And McConnell and others would not let the senate go into full recess last year to prevent Trump from dismissing Sessions and making a recess appointment to replace him.

Yup. That too.

Michael E. Horowitz was sworn in as the Inspector General of the Department of Justice (DOJ) on April 16, 2012, following his confirmation by the U.S. Senate.
-—————————————————————————————IG has been there for almost 6 years. What does that have to do with Sessions being confirmed in Feb. ‘17? There were probably new secretary(s) during this time period. Doesn’t mean nobody was there to type a report.

“Has Sessions fired any Obama Minions at the DOJ or is he using them as advisers ?”

I don’t know, but they continue to hang themselves.

Actually, yes. These guys, even the lefties who are acive there are, wittingly or unwittingly doing a much better job of getting all this coup crap opened up and eventually prosecuted than a head on assault by the righteous could possibly accomplish. Sessions is saying out of the limelight and getting the appropriate information into Rosenstein’s undeniable possession and forcing action.

The Inspector General will be releasing a report on the FBI and DOJ, (both under Sessions) by April.

Interesting. First it was January-February timeframe. Then it was in February. Then it was in March. Now it's by April. Why don't we keep pushing all of it back until the Dems regain power and impeach Trump just because he's a conservative Republican. Sheesh!!!

Anyone can go back through my posting history and see I've been saying most of last year that Sessions is a Trojan horse sent by the Swamp to infiltrate the Trump campaign. For all I know, Sessions is the "insurance policy." It's certainly very easy to believe given the sequence of events we now know stretches back before Trump even sewed up the nomination.

I disagree comply and time will tell. It takes a very long time to build prosecution cases. If we want to win the quick political score and let the rats off the sinking ship then be reckless otherwise it will take 2 years or more to work up to the big boys. 6 months to get a clean team in, 1 year to start prosecuting the small fish so we will see this summer. Big fish will take a long time. Democrats will not fall on their sword for honor or morals. Therefore there is no real short term political win. Has to be jail and arrests to make these treasonous democrats hide forever. That takes time!

I have defended Sessions and will continue to do so. If the IG submits a report that outlines criminal or civil violations during the Obama administration and Sessions does nothing then I will have to assume that Sessions is complicit in or compromised by the violations. I will call and write my members of congress and demand action an independent counsel.

If Sessions were to resign that would leave Rosenstein in charge which would be infinitely worse than Sessions. In fact the hierarchy of the DOJ is still with the exception of Sessions dominated by Obama holdovers. The President is going to have to demand that his nominees get a hearing in the Senate.

FB is infested with uninformed posters that have said that Sessions could go to federal court to prosecute very high ranking, rich and powerful people with bullet points and quotes from various congressional committees.

They obviously have no idea what they are talking about.

For me, it was the election of Barack Obama that turned the worm for me.

I never in my life thought that I would witness an open and avowed acolyte of Saul Alinsky with ties to radicals/terrorists/racists such as Ayers, Dohrn, and Wright could have ever gotten elected.

But he did. Twice.
