Syrian anti-aircraft fire downed the [Israeli] F-16 as it returned from a bombing raid on Iran-backed positions in Syria early on Saturday.
The Iran-backed forces are supporting President Bashar al-Assad in Syria's near seven-year civil war.
I know there are hundreds of Freepers here who believe Israel can do no wrong, and I want to support Israel 100% whenever possible, but can someone please explain what give Israel the right to violate sovereign airspace over a neighbor country, and drop BOMBS there, on forces FRIENDLY to that neighbor country?

Would those Freepers who never waver from saying Israel is ALWAYS in the right, say the following Mexican bombing would be OK too?

American anti-aircraft fire downed the Mexican F-22 as it returned from a bombing raid on Canadian-backed positions in America early on Saturday.
The Canadian-backed forces are supporting President Trump in America's near seven-year civil war.
