I was hoping I could get the current scarf finished, but I’m too tired to keep going, with only 6” left to go (according to my calculation of yarn amount compared to rows left to do, using previous colors as a yardstick) but I just couldn’t hang in there.
Tomorrow, I’ll try to get the path to the door cleared, but I’m thinking it will take packing at least three boxes. But that’s OK, because they will need to be packed before the move, anyway. It’s all good.
Now, I’m just waiting for the bed to warm up...
Hope you have a good night! We’re going to the gym after supper.
I’ve found a recipe for a turkey breast in the crock pot that I will make on Thursday, if the turkey breast is thawed.
Let me know how it turns out. If it’s tassssty and tender, I’ll want the recipe, for ssssure, Precious...
And now, I’m out for the night! Take care of all of you and I’ll see you in the morning.
Ta.
The recipe says it will be juicy! And it will have garlic!
NicknamedSue reports that, “It’s snowing out there! And it’s pretty!”
She has a nice way of letting me know about an impending disaster, don’t you think?
Not that I'd want to argue with Tom (I hear tell he's bigger than I and a lot younger) but he would be wrong.
THIS is concrete art.. ;-)
That is a steam excursion from Steamtown up on top..

Beautiful public architecture. Built in 1912, when architecture still strove to be art.
For the trivial information file, the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad built two smaller but similar (and probably prototypical) structures on the Lackawanna Cutoff in New Jersey. Both held the title of 'largest concrete structure' upon their completion, each to be 'outclassed' by the next and in turn eclipsed by the Tunkhannock Creek Viaduct.
Unfortunately ConRail in its infinite wisdom abandoned the rail line that passed over them and pulled up the rails in 1989 after offering the rail right of way, trackage, and structures to New Jersey Transit.
Although NJ Transit did not want the line back in 1989, today plans (by NJ Transit) are progressing to reopen that section of railroad eventually all the way to Scranton, PA (the rails from Portland, PA to Scranton are still in place.)
Of course, to reclaim portions of the right of way that Conrail sold off cost NJ Transit considerably more than it would have to just take over the line back in 1989. But NJ Transit is your typical government operation and follows their unfathomable logic processes.
And meanwhile, the viaducts still stand..

That’s what Kathleen would say.
Tom the Son is being sarcastic. He means, “Big chunks of concrete that will never be a road.”
Got any 1s?
Kitteh is listening to something in the background...
Good morning. How was the turkey breast?
The infamous LuDean is on FR on FB, and posted a thing purporting to be the 28th Amendment. Something to do with Congress having to use the same medical coverage as Joe Public, and I told her it would be fine if it was true but there are only 27 Amendments, and that she should go to the Heritage Foundation and get a free copy of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. I don’t know if she did, yet.
And this ‘Face is still upset by the loss of the SS card.
Those are absolutely beautiful! Thanks for posting them.
Surely it’s somewhere in your house! Elen’s was in our house in a folder of things I thought I might need when I paid her college tuition while I had a concussion. Long story.
Anyway, the turkey breast is still thawing. The plan is to cook it tomorrow.
I’m hoping so, but if it is, it is in something I’ve packed that has miscellaneous papers in it. If it’s not in my house, someone may have found it and I’ll be fighting a doppelganger.
Aw. The Great Tomorrow Turkey Caper. That was fraught with hazards. ;o]
I got the turkey out of the fridge; we were going to die of old age before it thawed.
It’s cold and drizzly today. I’ll take James and Vlad to the gym, eventually, but everyone else can stay home.

Beautiful kittehs.
All that did was save it, but I’ll take that!
