The Michelle painting skin tones are of a corpse. White dress is mummy wrapping. A proper title would be, “Death of an Icon.”

The michelle portrait is nothing more than folk art, such as they bring onto the “Antiques Roadshow”. It is amateurish and amusing, showing what creative, yet unskilled, people transfer to canvas using house paint. It has zero perspective or depth.

There is little doubt that the Obamas were the most stylish and sophisticated first couple since the Kennedys I stopped reading there. The Obamaphiles are truly living in an alternate universe.

Compelling? Maybe if you’re a bug who eats paint.
I have a Master’s in Fine Art and I can tell you, these things are embarrassingly bad.

This is satire, right? The Obamas have done great damage to our country and their choice of an artist that glorifies black women who will decapitate white women and display their heads like trophies represents the depravity of the Obamas. Thank Obama for the decay in race relations and increased violence in genereal.

Imagine walking into the White House and seeing all of the historical paintings of our past Presidents and then seeing this piece of disgusting crap.
If that is Obamas official portrait I hope hes going to be happy knowing that painting will look as gross as his Presidency was.

Leftists are still trying this shuck and jive to paint a better picture of the Obamas.
The recent portraits reveal more about the Obamas than their sycophants care to admit.
the Obamas were the most stylish and sophisticated first couple since the Kennedys
Apparently this critic ignored some of the garb Michelle wore during their early years in the White House. It was anything but
stylish and sophisticated.

Rick Brettell is the founding director of the Edith O'Donnell Institute of Art History at the University of Texas at Dallas and a former director of the Dallas Museum of Art. Thrawn, famously but fictionally, was quoted with the observation: “One can accurately judge a person, a culture, or even an entire civilization by its art.”
This may have been the first “unsupervised” decision that these two have ever made. Everything else they have said, every other paper they have written, every (well - almost every) piece of clothing they have worn, every other decision they have made has been carefully vetted and rehearsed and propagandized before the two walked into public. Left on their own, she reverts back to her "style" of ugly, uncoordinated, ill-fitting shorts and t-shirts and sandals and wide belts with muscle-shirt blouses; and he cannot get an umbrella under a gate.
And NOTHING could better define and display the entire baseline characters of immature, racist, culture-hating, irrational hatred and ignorance than these two “official portraits” of Michelle and Obama.
That this “critic” can ONLY see the race and “gender” of the two painters, while lying completely about the trash they painted, shows HIS character and cultural hatred as well.

I think the paintings are just right. It would have been an insult to have traditional style portraits done. These portraits will be a permanent reminder of what a train wreck those eight years were.
