If he’s talking about the midterms, well, people who decide to vote based on expensive t.v. ads don’t even know what they really believe, IMO. You are either in favor of big government or you are not.

Well said. This "sickness" is their fault. The debasing of our culture and traditions have lead to this current state of confusion. Hell has enlarged herself. I would add: What good does it do if we "see something" and then "say something", if that report goes unheeded? It didn't help in the case of Nikolas Cruz, where years of reports identified this fellow as a mass-shooter-most-likely.
Why do we have the FBI and other alphabet agencies? I see no Constitutional authorization for their existence. It's the responsibility of the "Militia" to execute the laws of union (Article I, Section 9, Para 15).

What is an assault weapon anyway? I seriously thought it was an fully automatic weapon. I mean , what is the difference between say an AR-15 and a Glock 19? Aside from the fact that one is a rifle, one is a handgun and the caliber is different?
If I continue to pull the trigger on the Glock, bullets will continue to come out of it until the magazine is empty. Isn’t that the same on an AR or any other gun out there?

Ask him, or anyone advocating for this or other idiotic “gun control” laws one question - why? Then inform this obviously ill-informed person we had an “assault weapons” ban for ten (10) years. Numerous studies of crime data from that period show no statistically significant impact on crime, none. So why would anyone advocate for a law that is provably, demonstrably ineffective? You might as well advocate to force everyone to grow a vegetable garden - just as useful.
