Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions asked Friday for the resignations of dozens of politically appointed U.S. attorneys held over from the Obama administration, the Justice Department said.
Sessions wanted “to ensure a uniform transition” to the Trump administration, spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said in a statement.
“Until the new U.S. attorneys are confirmed, the dedicated career prosecutors in our U.S. attorney’s offices will continue the great work of the department in investigating, prosecuting and deterring the most violent offenders,” she said.
The order affects 46 U.S. attorneys; 47 others have already stepped aside. Ninety-three U.S. attorneys are the top federal prosecutors in 94 districts. (Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands share a federal prosecutor.)
I do not agree that the FISA investigation is an area that Sessions cannot oversee. The questionable FISA actions appear to have predated the campaign.

As to your last point I am not touching it with a ten foot pole. I do not believe it is a real issue. No offense meant there are always different opinions and on other issues we are most likely in better agreement.

You are so busy watching the distractions you don’t see what is important. The Muller investigation is not impacting POTUS in moving ahead with MAGA. It is a side show, a distraction and much is happening behind the scenes. It will wind itself down in it’s own time. Obsessing about it gives it too much importance. The players broke the law and are compromised, they are twisting in the wind.
I can’t understand how any intelligent person thinks Sessions can unrecuse himself.

You need to read Sessions responses as very careful not to cross the line into making statements about current criminal investigations—although he did say there were TWENTY-SEVEN currently underway.
Sessions is an old fox and he is going to surprise some folks in how hard he is going to come down on “lawlessness” in the DOJ. I think there are going to be a lot of perp walks in the future.

The special counsel’s reason for being is 3 fold:
1) Embroil the Trump administration with indictments-scandals with the ultimate goal of toppling(impeachment-resignation)
2) Use the SC to bury the mountain of high crime evidence against Hillary & the O’muslim regime.
3) Show the people what happens if you want to go to work for the Trump administration...You’ll be crucified by the propaganda press and indicted by a soviet-style special counsel. Your house raided in the dark of the night by the goose-steppers of the FBI.

It may seem “evasive,” but it could be because he simply won’t comment on on-going investigations (as he shouldn’t). Let’s hope.
We should know by June or July, August at the very latest, if the truth about Democrat ultra-corruption and subversion of the U.S. begins to come out and indictments are handed down. If we go into September or October and nothing has happened, then Sessions has completely and utterly failed.
Yes. What absolutely galls me is than NO Dem AG would have ever recused him or herself. It is pitiful that Republicans still do not understand gutter / Chicago politics and play to win.
The only FISA court activity that concerns us at present, is that activity that was initiated by the Obama regime during the 2016 campaign, and which was directly related to the illegal government spying on the Trump organization.
The episode of that malfeasance clearly falls within the parameters of Sessions' recusal. Are you suggesting that there is other, disrelated malfeasance by that court that Sessions is free to investigate?
If so, what possible bearing does that have on this conversation?
As to all of the U.S. Attorney resignations following the Trump transition, that is customary and normal with each changing of the guard. Don't even think about giving Sessions credit for that.
In closing, I ask you again -- why hasn't Sessions rescinded his recusal, and demanded that Mueller wrap up his year long, fruitless quest for Russia/Trump collusion?
Answer me. Why does Sessions remain recused, when that investigation has borne NO fruit?

The question is irrelevant. There was no way for Sessions not to recuse and the conditions haven’t changed.
Sessions had to recuse and will never be able to head an investigation into the 2016 Presidential campaign because to do so would be dishonorable, against his oath and would destroy the legitimacy of the Trump administration. Your question is like asking when did you stop beating your wife. One needs to assume a fallacy to answer it.
In many ways your contention that Sessions should not have recused or should declare he is unrecused is the same logical error. He would have to embrace a fallacy to do so and in doing so destroy all he holds dear. Have you thought about what would happen if he did as you ask?
The action would completely squander the high ground that POTUS holds, one of his most powerful weapons and shields. The administration would be vulnerable with the media and Democratic sharks in for the kill with blood splashing others in the cabinet who would be set on in turn. The forward motion and carefully laid plans would be lost. All for a ridiculous investigation into an upright man without skeletons. Muller only turns up dirt on the Left because that’s where the dirt is. All the digging by all the most partisan players and no dirt. Honor is the best defense and you want Sessions to sell his, to void his plans to return Justice and probity to the DOJ to buy what exactly? Your peace of mind so you don’t have to watch POTUS be attacked. You don’t throw away the reason POTUS is taking the heat to get him off the hot seat.
POTUS is using the investigation for his own purposes. That’s what he does. He makes lemons into lemonade.
