The Parkland school shooting has made media stars out of at least two of the survivors, students Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg. Both are advocates of additional gun control laws, and have been extremely critical of President Trump. That is surely their right, as it is also their right to take this moment of national attention to promote their views.
But is interesting to note how the pair have become so media-savvy, and are emphasizing media exposure over other priorities. On CNN this morning, asked whether they would be there when Parkland re-opened, Gonzalez said:
“As soon as we can, we are going to go back into the school. As soon as they say school is on Monday, I’m going to be there—I’m pretty sure. Unless I have interviews — unless we have interviews.”

They’re being used by the adults in their lives. Get a clue.
You raise a valid criticism. While I understand their trauma and suffering, they are willing to put themselves out there for their beliefs. If they are willing to do that, then they must be willing to accept the criticism that comes with it.

I suspect the parents of these clearly impacted children are Dem contributors who have no moral qualms with abusing their children for political gain. If these kids are REALLY upset, they shouldn't be on CNN - they should be healing. I fear they will get their 15 min of fame, their parents will do the Dem fundraising circuit, and sadly these children will become a statistic and get an obituary on page 37 of the local paper. Shameful.

Broward and nearby communities are solid blue left-wing Rat holes. I don’t expect much sanity from that neck of the woods.
These kids have already drawn their fascist line with their “you’re with us or against us” rhetoric. The battle lines have been drawn.
If Republicans were smarter, they’d have told the program booker that they wouldn’t appear on their show with grief-stricken children. “This is a time for healing.” The agitators couldn’t say they weren’t grief-stricken and that this isn’t a time for healing.
Ask these kids if they’d like to surrender their right to buy a long gun AND their right to vote until they are 21years old.
You don’t believe they can think for themselves?
If I had to run for my life out of my high school while stepping over my dead friends and teachers, I imagine I would be demanding something be done. People, even young, people, are entitled to their opinion.
I pray their parents aren’t on Free Republic.
Will be interesting to see how many people show up for the March next month.

They’re not thinking for themselves in this case. Weak-kneed “conservatives” always give the left the benefit of the doubt and can’t be bothered to look at the facts. Those kids are being coached. Why aren’t the wise little children railing about the failures of local authorities and the FBI? No, they’re only blaming trump and the NRA.

There are students saying gun laws wouldn’t have stopped Cruz but the media has ignored them.
Oh LQQK...media whores looking for their 15 minutes of fame to gain fame from their school mates deaths.
Obviously the media can’t be trusted to report both sides of any argument fairly. The kids don’t know that.
